I had once of those when I started sportsman, but found that the blue terribly blendid into the sky at the worst times sometimes, and use to come in fast. But was still a nice plane to show off.

To me, for overload protection, the fuse idea is sound. If you look around, you can get ones that can reset, like a circut breaker type or PTC type.
