RE: Raptor Parts

When you buy from Ricks, watch out for the shipping field. Be careful because you can fly right by it and automatically get 2-Day (Which isn't bad unless you wanted to save a few bucks).

RE: Fuel Residue Removal

Boiling in antifreeze works great. Do it outside. The fumes are killer. Use an old pot. Once clean I rubbed my muffler down with oil. Looks perfect now.

RE: Canopy Painting

I found out the unpainted body and canopy was used and flown. Therefore there is fuel residue on it. I would like to clean it and paint it. I try the hot soapy water first. That might do it.

Canopy Painting

What is the best way to paint a canopy? Do you sand it and prime it with something? I lightly sanded mine and sprayed a little paint on it and it just beaded up and ran off.

Metal Cooling Fan?

Is there any benefit to metal cooling fan upgrades or for any metal parts for that matter. Strength is the big one but how much more strength is needed?

RE: I caught a burgler!

You should have made practical use out of your heli and taken him out at the knees with the rotor. However, that may have led to some other issues. Nice job.

Pulling out a Cylinder

How do you get the cylinder sleeve out of the motor? I am assuming you need to do this before the piston can come out. I am taking apart a TT70 due to shot piston and cylinder.

Thanks

RE: r/c system preferences

Here in central Minnesota, US, JR seems to be number 1 with Futaba in a close 2nd. However, I am seeing a lot of Hitec more and more. Especially for airplanes. Very little Airtronics.
