Yes, that is a balance connetor that mates up to their new charger (NO other that I know of). The Triton, set up properly, should work just like any other Li-Po charger (2 wire). Balancing helps...

I am using the Kokam 1500 3 cell (8C). On sale at FMA for about $25. They are heavier, and I have converted to brushless, but they are fine for hover practice.

The full set up is shown here http://www.bladecprepair.com/ for the Blade CP. The same setups will work and fit with the HB. I have both machines. Many parts can be combined as a hybrid.

I have found that tip overs and light crashes will break the balls off the mixing arms at the top of the head. I keep two packages around [EK1-0229]. BalsaProducts also carries them.

I would have to suggest new motors as a next step. If the batteries are still above 8 volts after 30 seconds, it does not sound like the charger or batteries. Possibly a lot of binding in the drive...
