I left the covering on and just used west system epoxy and some fiberglass on the inside of the front - before the step to reinforce the hull. The weight is insignificant.

I have had the Neptune I for over a year. I had heard reports of hard landings and the bottom falling out. It seemed a little light, so I stripped off the fuse covering and glued on a layer of balsa....

Neptune Seaplane -conversion to electric

Has any one converted the Neptune seaplane to Electric? They call for a 40-60 2 stroke. I may try an axi 2820 - that currently powers my Something Extra. which seems to be about the same weight.

Been flying my MCX for a few weeks the stock batteries are OK but what do you expect from 1 cell. Bought some replacements Tenergy - set up for the MCX they are great and the right price flights...

The USB seems OK - but how about a charger for the MCX that has alligator clips to hook into a standard 12v output 0 could then work from any power source and might charge faster.
