RE: Why Speed Is Never Cheap

Traxxas is a niche RTR company. I have owned a couple of their products in the past and have always found them to be quality vehicles. I don't think anyone would miss the mark in saying that with...

RE: Official Losi Mini 1/16 SCT RTR

Hey All,

I'm digging up this thread to fire off a couple of quick questions. Does anyone know the stock gearing ratio on this truck? Also any clue what the weight of the stock shock springs and...

RE: super noob

For RTR I'd go with the HPI 3 EVO. Peep the sticky at the top of the forum for more info on buying your first on road.

RE: the right RC on-road

For bashing and all around RTR asphalt havoc, I say go for the 3 EVO. The HPI engine is more powerful. The only drawback is the plastic spacers it has instead of turnbuckles. But you can hop it up...

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread

The OS .12TZ is pretty easy to get your hands on and it has 1.6 horses. Only drawback is the price. For your price range, check out the Fantom FR12 (1.3 HP) or the HPI Nitro Star 12R XS (1.3 HP)....

RE: NTC3 VS RS4 3 EVO, wich is best?????

I have them both, but I built the NTC3 from a FT kit and dropped a OS engine in it. I really like them both quite a bit but I use the NTC3 for racing and the 3 EVO for bashing. The NTC3 is highly...

RE: Nitro Vs. Electric!!! another one of these threads!

BINGO! Woot! Woot! Finally!

A buddy of mine (10 years of racing) moved here a couple of years ago and immediately smashed our onroad track record with a TC3 team kit and standard 15 turn motor....

RE: Associated NTC3 Rear dual Exhaust

Seems like that would screw with the motor. put a piece of tube on the end of your exaust so it sticks out enough to heep your body cleaner....then again, that might mess with the moter too

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread

I'm almost finished rebuilding my NTC 3. This weekend I'm headed up to a track north of here with my bud, but I don't kow if I'll have the engine broken in by then. But that's OK cuz I just got the...

RE: Question about TC3's and Steering Servos

It's the arm or horn that sticks up off of the servo so you can attach stuff to it. :D

RE: Question about TC3's and Steering Servos

I don't know the details like volts or which ones are better (got a LHS?) but the answer is yes, and yes it's easy. Use the same horn that's on the servo you have now. Futaba makes a wide selection...

RE: Just bought a RS4 3 evo.

Piero! I am so jealous of your ride!! So far the only hop-up I've put on mine is the threaded shocks - whoopdy friggin doo :D

I can't decide whether I should hop-up my rs4 3 or my NTC3...

RE: CD-3 Vs. NTC3 Plus

Well you'll find plenty of peeps who'll swear both are better than the other. Personally, I say go for the NTC3+. But honestly, no matter how many sedans you own, you'll find things you love and...

RE: cant get 4-tec to stop spinning out

I was having a similar problem with mine the other day. First off check and make sure your camber and toe in is set up correctly. My problem turned out to be the shock pre-load spacer. One of them...

RE: Fastest RTR RC out of the Box

Just to throw in my 2 cents - I'd get a shaft drive kit and drop a .15 or .18 engine in it. Belt drives do have a higher top speed, but can be a pain in the butt when sand or small pebbles get in the...

RE: Fuel Line question ???

Yeh. I have the same HPI. I noticed that my fuel line was rubbing against the gears so I trimmed about a 1/4" off of the line and ran it on the outside of the carry handle. It sits right in front of...

RE: Hello...

I'd love to get my hands on a Nitro TC3 RTR Plus, but I don't have the funds for one right now...plus I already have 2 nitro sedans so my next nitro will prolly be an off-road.

RE: Traxxas Nitro 4-TEC 2.5 or HPI Nitro RS4 3 18SS or Associated Nitro TC3 Plus

Personally, I'd go with a shaft drive. They are much more forgiving when it comes to pebbles and other debris you'll find on the streets and in parking lots. HPI also has the nitro rs4 RTR 3 evo - so...

RE: Hello...

I was going by this that I found in the Q&A section of the HPI web site

"With the new T-15 engine and the stock 2 speed the (rs4 RTR 3) Evo goes almost 45 mph. If you want to go faster...
