RE: should ball link expander be used...

Amit,
When using the link sizing tool I normally size it until the weight of the linkage rod is just enough to make it fall under its own weight.

This means that the link size is just a slight...

RE: RAPTOR 30 VS 50

Many of the spares for a 30 will go straight onto a 50. (assuming its a V2).

You could get a nice Titan 50SE or wait for the new X50 from Thunder Tiger ( though that will not be able to take...

RE: Fixed position hovering

Take a look at Mikrokopter (German site but much of it is in English)

In particular, take a look at this video. (about half way through) http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/VideoAbspielen?id=188...

RE: TT Raptor setup with 9CAP question

HELISWH1

Actually, most kits nowadays are NOT like this but when the 9C manual was written, they were.

Nowadays, most use the cheaper to produce eCCPM system. Largely regarded as inferior...

RE: carbon blade repair

Depends on the nature of the damage.

If it is structural then I would forget it on safety grounds.

If it is just a nick from a stone or other cosmetic damages then a little epoxy works fine.

RE: A new Tiger ?? X-50

Not true I think.

Many Raptor owners choose them due to mCCPM. A lot of people have no interest to go the eCCPM route with the numerous hassles it can bring.

Personally I would be happy to...

RE: A new Tiger ?? X-50

RE: TT Titan Clutch disengages

I never use grease on the one way bearing. I only use tri-flow oil.

It is much lighter and allows the rollers in the bearing to move easier. I think the grease can prevent free movement which...

I work in a Japanese engineering company located in the mountains of Nagano.

Came out here on a three year contract......18 years ago :D

RE: Raptor 30 2.4G SC

Fret ye not!!!

The Raptor SC is as far as I can tell, an ideal heli for anyone other than a total 3D nutter. Out of the box it will be more than capable of flying full aerobatics and probably...

RE: head Dampners R60

The red are the hardest available from TT. But, the new Titan SE uses a two part damper that is harder - not sure if this would suit the 60 - I guess not.

But there are also a number of 3rd...

RE: Raptor 30 exhaust question

Exactly what it says.

A glow engine uses a mix of methanol, nitro-methane and oil. Igntion takes place using a glow plug where the element made partially from platinum acts as a catalyst to...

RE: Raptor 30 exhaust question

Are you confusing petrol engined helis (so called "gassers") with glow powered (nitro)?

RE: Raptor 30 exhaust question

Spring washers will do the trick to prevent loosening. I use an aluminium gasket on all my helis. They last forever and seals perfect.

RE: wich governor to use with raptor

Forget the Futaba GV-1. Expensive, slow and heavy.

I've had very good results from the CSM RL20. The latest version, the RL40 has collective management built in to really stop bogging. Could...

Phoenix

Realflight

RE: Futaba 9c

The 9th channel is switched, it is not proportional.

Also, as I understand it, when using the 2.4GHz module, the output must be set to PPM which only has 8 channels available.

I have one on...

RE: Howdy! Which 30 Nitro -KIT- to get?!?!?

Since cost is a major issue, I'm not going to say, "go for a 50" but what I will say is this.

Make sure you go for a 30 that can easily be upgraded to a 50 later on should you so desire because...

RE: easiest build raptor 50 titan SE or Trex 600N

A Raptor is nice and easy to build. No eCCPM set up to worry about.

Also, more importantly, a Raptor is far easier to REBUILD. Or I should say will require far fewer parts. Trex's are fragile...

RE: Having trouble with Orientation on my Rap 90

RE: Raptor 50 Tail rotor pushrod clips

On my Raptor#2 I use bathroom silicon sealant. It sticks them in place well, but does not cause embrittlement. Easy to remove too.

JR make a very nice boom tail rod guide That are adjustable...
