RE: H9 60 Size P-47 Thunderbolt-Build & Flying

Yes I had to use the cline regulator on mine. I have a Saito 1.25 on mine fully inverted. The regulator works beautifully. Make sure you have a good fuel tank though. The added pressure blew the...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

Bob,
I was wondering which engine you would recommend in this plane? My two choices are DL 50 or the Brillelli 46gt.

RE: GAS Saito

Any chance I could get one of you guys to do the static thrust measurements as told in the MA magazine 2 months ago? Or give me the stats needed and I will do the math.

I really am intrigued by...

Thrust needed for 3D

Hey guys I was wondering what thrust is needed for comfortable 3D flying? The combination I am looking at should give me 15.4lb to fly a 12lb plane. Is that too low to for good 3D?

RE: H9 60 Size P-47 Thunderbolt-Build & Flying

You can get Zinger 4 blades. I am going to try the Zinger 15x6 on my Saito 1.25 after it is broken in better.

RE: GAS Saito

Any input as to whether the 36G would be a good match for the Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31 3D ARF. Great looking plane. Hope it will fit. RCU review says it comes out to a 12lbs flying weight.

RE: H9 60 Size P-47 Thunderbolt-Build & Flying

Birman,

I mounted my 125 inverted and used the marks on the firewall to center the shaft. I did end up having to get a Cline regulator because of siphoning, but this is the first time I...

RE: H9 60 Size P-47 Thunderbolt-Build & Flying

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread

Thank you Nico,
I have that same engine and was hoping it would work. Now lets get her in the air and let me know how it flies with that 170.

Good luck.

Thx

RE: KMP F8-F Bearcat

But it did fly ok with the 125? I don't want to invest in an expensive plane if my even more expensive engine won't pull it well. The 170R weighs in 1.5ish pounds more than the 125 and prolly has...

RE: KMP F8-F Bearcat

Ok, gotta ask, what is that big black block sitting on the top of your engine? and why is it bolted to the firewall?

RE: Sombody from Oklahoma here?

You might want to remind your webmaster that you are a boat association. Having an annoying click here to get to our website is bad enough, but one that has nothing to do with your site is just rude.

RE: KMP F8-F Bearcat

I am trying to decide between this bird and the Fw-190 and want input on my engine. I purchased a Saito 170R it has roughly the power of a 1.20. So it would work ok in this plane?

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread

Who is going to get one of these in the air ? I am really curious as to how it flies. I just bought a Saito 170 and need to decide if it is going in this plane or the Bearcat.

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread

You might take a look at this one. Not sure about it fitting is all. Mount to top of cylinder heads is 130mm. Best of both worlds, four stroke and ignition.
