Get help

Go to your local RC field ask them what you should get. Ask them to set you up with an instructor. No better way to learn and cheaper too

Some

Ive flown a little at night. Make sure you can tell left from right and upside down from right side up. Also you need some kind of light to shine down to help you with altitude on landing

I’d change it

Sounds like there’s not much left to that battery.
you should get more flight time than that.
like said above if it fits it’s good.
you will need a charger though.

Big big rule

Tanks are cheap leaks are expensive

do your self a favor and get a new tank. You don’t need a leak in the fuselage especially if there is styrofoam

More to this

you have to consider wing loading. Lift over comes gravity thing too much weight and at best you have a dog. Bigger engine plus more weight out come not good.

Series?

using a y adapter is not wiring your batteries in series. That is parallel. Remember voltage is series is additive.

More info

when you throttle down does the tendency to climb stop? If so it’s a thrust angle issue.
Bear in mind flat bottom wings do climb under power. But if it’s very noticeable it could be the thrust angle...
