RE: Xmods Questions

If you are running an EVO chassis, Rear Wheel drive is fine. If a Gen 1, stick with AWD. Don't forget, you still need to tune your suspension, smoothen out your drive train, and find a good enough...

RE: Xmods Questions

AWD or RWD. Front wheel is bad all around. Mainly because it is easier to push something than pull something. Also, the front wheels don't have the motor over them, it has it far behind them, make it...

RE: xmods vs miniz

MiniZ out handles an Xmod, it has smoother electronics, a better servo, more tune ability (camber, caster, and toe), easier to get replacement parts, after the initial starter price, parts are...

RE: Mini Z Traction

Which MiniZ is it?

If it is the MA01, that is a common problem, the servo is too tight and jams up, I'm not sure of a fix, though. If it's the other versions... you're on your own.

RE: xmods upgrade help

If you can't get the Gen 1 bearings at Radio Shack, or feel like going for higher quality bearings, try here: http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/CTGY/XmodsBearings

RE: are x-mods worth it?

I suggest you wait for GPM, Hot Racings parts are low quality build, and well, very ugly.

As for the steering. On the back of your control, mess with the "ST.RANGE", that can help, also, you may...

RE: Lithiums on Xmods

It's fine. Just make sure you don't run the batteries too low. Once you see a decrease in speed, charge them, also when not in use, UNPLUG them.

Have Fun. ;)

RE: are x-mods worth it?

Yes, they can make your car faster, not by a large margin, but yes. The main reason you should get them is because the put less stress on the motor and give you longer run time. ;)

RE: Xmods Questions

Why do they go for high capcity cells? Because they have 6-7 cells in a pack. Meaning, only 1 cell is really determaining the mAh of the whole pack, since they all affact the voltage output. So they...

RE: Xmods Questions

They could be... but I dought it.

The Radio Shack NiMh cells suck for their application, and IC3s, although charge fast, also aren't the greatest... but much better than Radio Shack brand.

RE: are x-mods worth it?

RE: Xmods Questions

Wrong. The more mAh a cell has, the less discharge. Also, you can't compare Li-Poly to a NiMh cell. They are two totally different chemistries.

Why? Simple, the more mAh a cell has, the...
