After seeing the Super Dimona at Hobby Lobby's website weeks ago, I decided to purchase the kit. I ordered the HL recommended motor, prop, and spinner, but for the lipo I decided on using Hi-Po...

RE: Hobby Lobby Super Dimona 2400

cool, thanks. I'm off to get them!

Hey, another question, and this is weird. The stock spinner and the Aeronaut 10, 5x6 prop are not compatible because the collet from the spinner kit does not...

RE: Hobby Lobby Super Dimona 2400

The bolts for attaching the AXI motor; are they included in the kit? I built the kit and can't find any screws for attaching the motor to the fuse.

RE: Is there a limit to how fast a lipo can be charged?

Thanks for the info.

I spoke to Hobby Lobby and they claim that PolyQuest batteries can be charged beyond 1C.
I'll do some more research and check out the Thunder Power info too.

Thanks

Is there a limit to how fast a lipo can be charged?

Do lipo's have a maximum on the charge rate? I know discharging too fast can be a problem, but I don't know if charging too fast can be dangerous as well.

thanks

EasyGlider gets a new paint job!

I thought i would share my experience of painting my EasyGlider. It's amazing what a little spray paint and patience will do. I got the idea for the paint scheme from the AMA May edition (cover...

RE: Multiplex EasyGlider pinion gear problems with brushless upgrade...

I spoke to Mike at Multiplex as well. He is a very helpful guy. He assisted me with the pinion gear problem and also with an issue on the BL-27A ESC. It turns out that the pinion gear problem for me...

RE: Converted my Artech Cessna 182 to BRUSHLESS!!!!

Now my picture is rude? Thanks mate! Yet another insulting comment, and I am singled out as the bad guy.

The brushless upgrade you performed on this plane was a great idea. Your workmanship is...

RE: Converted my Artech Cessna 182 to BRUSHLESS!!!!

I fly at Stillwell Woods park in Syosset, Long Island. It's a great field. It's private for club members in that we have a key to a closed-off section of the park that is used mostly for flying. If...

RE: Converted my Artech Cessna 182 to BRUSHLESS!!!!

Quite the contrary, I am a good pilot. I have flown full scale planes as well; that means I am a real pilot too in case you had trouble with the terminology.
The Cessna for me was not a good...

RE: Converted my Artech Cessna 182 to BRUSHLESS!!!!

For me, this plane was a complete waste of money. It is very poor quality. The radio and servos are garbage. The plane itself is very unpredictable and squirley in the air.

Deans Micro Plug: Max current?

Does anyone know the max current rating on Deans Micro Plug? I want to use them in my glider but I want to make sure they can withstand my motor/lipo set up.

Thanks

RE: great planes lancair ep

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking, but, if it can pass the glide test at my field, I should be able to fly it because, after all, rules are rules :-D
