This makes perfect sense. I will give it a try on channel 5. The panic mode must be handled by the receiver since it is sensing speed and attitude and takes over control. Maybe the trainer switch...

RE: 91 FS tuning problem

Bill
Just thought I would report that I ran a test of my .91 today and it is now running great! I was able to get a reliable idle to 2400 rpm and max 10,500 high end with 14 x 6 prop (more than I...

RE: 91 FS tuning problem

One more thing.... when I flip the engine with a starter, there is fuel oozing out of the low speed needle cavity!!!

RE: 91 FS tuning problem

I am hoping you are monitoring earlier threads like this. I decided not to give up on my 92 Surpass and took it apart for cleaning and inspection. Then I discovered a broken exhaust valve...

RE: 91 FS tuning problem

Bax
Thanks for your reply. I have decided to buy a new 91. I figure with the cost of shipping back and forth to Canada and assessment and repair, I am at least half way towards the price of a new...

91 FS tuning problem

Bax
My well used .91 FS II will not maintain idle. I have 3 other OS 4-strokes that run great and I am familiar with tuning. I have set the valve clearances, new plug, and based on reviewing your...

RE: changing crystals

The link appears to be broken. Can you check it?

Also wanted to know more about crystals.
Are crystals for PPM and PCM receivers interchangeable?
Thanks

RE: All you Gee Bee people reply!

I'm not an expert on the Great Planes Bee but as far as I'm concerned the specs tell the story. I have flown my 1/5 scale Page R2 for 2 seasons and it flies great. The reason I chose it over the...

RE: All you Gee Bee people reply!

Ben:
Thanks for the advice on the foam wheels. Mine flat spot too and I thought all foam wheels did that. I'll try some Sullivans!

RE: Profile on floats: Water rudder question?

Ed:
Thanks for your reply and especially the photos. I see I will need to add the water rudders. I hadn't thought of dual rudders but with the simple link rod - looks easy to do.
Thanks again......

RE: All you Gee Bee people reply!

I have the 1/5 Page R2 too and pretty much fixed the landing on grass problem by bending a new set of struts that were about 3/4 " longer so the wheel is almost completely ahead of the leading edge....

Profile on floats: Water rudder question?

I would like to try my Bad Boy V2 on floats. On the ground it steers just fine without a steerable tail wheel because of the effect of the huge air rudder. Can anyone tell me if I need to add a water...

RE: Bad Bay V2, and no wing tips?

Glad to know I wasn't the only one to realize that the transparent covering is a whole lot more sensitive than monokote. Burned a hole right through it when it didn't tension up. This caution should...

RE: Hitec Receiver compatibility with Futaba Transmiter

Michael:
Me again. Should have researched other threads first. Did a search on "low band" and found the answer. Seems Hitec doesn't care about low/high bands.

RE: Page Gee Bee R-2

Hey Speed8:
Flew my 1/5 R2 this summer. There is a short video you can see on our club web site below. Of course it does the classic landing flip. I'm getting a little better at it though. But...

RE: GP Ultimate .40 Size

I built one about 5 years ago and still fly it. I love it. Great flyer and very responsive. It's not much harder than any kit except that you have to build up 2 wings of course. The tough part was...
