RE: Current draw of tire truers?

Just in case anyone's following this thread...

The motor on this truer is a LOT bigger than 550 size. It trips the internal fuse in my 15A PSU.
However, if I get the motor spinning with a 7.2V...

RE: Current draw of tire truers?

I think it's the current spike on startup that'll cause problems. Trying it shouldn't do any harm to my PSU
For some reason reason it hadn't occured to me that I could run it from a subC NiMh...

Current draw of tire truers?

I've just ordered a simple 12V DC manual tire truer and was wondering roughly how much current it'll draw. I'm wondering whether my current power supply will be able to cope. I realise that this...

RE: Looking at a Trinity Itsy Bitsy Spyder kit

You would be far better set with an RC18, Vendetta or even Mini-T. The Trinity Micros aren't bad, but their user base is small and consequently there are little after market options available for it....

RE: Stuck between Detta ST & RC18

I am an RC18 owner. On carpet the 18T is faster than the Vendetta at the highest level of the competiton, but is more twitchy and less forgiving to drive. On Dirt the Vendetta is streets ahead.

RE: Servos

Thanks... I've just spotted this servo on Tower - this would do the job in hand, right?

Servos

I'm new to 3D flying and don't really know what's out there in terms of servos. I've ordered an Airfoilz Edge 540 and am looking for something stronger and faster than an HS-55 that has replacement...

RE: RC18b Ebay bargain

Not too bad, though my 18T cost £55 delivered and included all of the FT upgrades, a custom shell, two 7 cell Intellect packs and a Novak FM receiver... that was a very good deal though. Have fun...

RE: Mamba Quick-ee

Not true at all. Brushless motors should have no rolling resistance whatsoever (except the friction of the bearings). That's why lots of people run drag brake on their brushless setups.

Check...

RE: You have to be joking me

Yah I wasted $30 on three pinion sets from Integy. I couldn't imagine how they could possibly design a bad pinion gear... but I found out soon enough. The set screws are TINY and strip really easily....

RE: First flight with GP Yak 55 3D EP

BL Outrunner to replace brushed 400 inrunner

Anyway, what...

Tires will balloon at high speed whatever you do your diffs. Duct tape the inside of the tire and you're set.
