Oh and yes I realize that i'll have to renforce the wing where the gear attaches to it, but do you think I'll have to renforce where the wing attaches to the plane?

Thanks for all of the tips guys! I'll be sure to mount them under the wing. I'm converting it because I've had some issues with the current setup and I'm also just doing it for fun really.

Thanks w8ye, I think I'm actually going to try to mount the gear under the wing. I just hope that having the gear there doesn't cause too much stress on the wing bolts and such.

Does anyone know about the true price of the 8ch rx on its own? At hobby people it is $79.99 but Tower has it listed at 115.99. Its a pretty substantial price differance.
