Yeah well if i go the 33% i have to buy engine and airframe separately where if i buy the 35% i can get a package deal with the DL-111 for almost $600 cheaper. Granted the outlay for a few extra bits...

As it turns out.. The cheaper option for me at this stage is to go with a 35%er with a DL-111 just for conveniance.. Larger size, bigger engine, vs the 33% which i was originally intending to go with...

Im in the same boat as you mate, trying to figure out what setup etc for my first gasser.. DA engines australia told suggested i use the KISS Principal..

Forget voltage regulators etc etc and go...

Though i am confused then as to why QQ would release a 102 inch yak, the yellow beast(just prior to closing doors) and then suggest a DA85 was a perfect match to keep...

Can you post a link to what these actually look like. I googled and only came up with a heavy looking rubber block mounted to a small aluminium frame. Dodgy looking IMO. The secraft soft mounts...

You are correct.. Hearsay may not be wrong information...BUT

If you check out their website for the 35% yak there is a note listed at the bottom of the page saying that there are 3 servo holes per wing, the 2 outside ones are obviously for a duel setup and...

What sort of flying do you do mate? I'm after an all out 3d machine and was told to stay away from single servo setups on 35% or larger?!?!

Heres another 35% extra 260 running a DA-85. I saw this guy fly this plane over the weekend, He flew it in imac and threw it around in a freestyle display and it seemed to handle it no problem....

Theres a whole nother page discussing this fact but its in the other giant flying forums.... Theres a guy there whos flying an extra 260 powered by a DA-85 on a KS1060 tuned pipe and its ripping...

Same boat as you mate, Im looking at 33% yak vs 35% yak and DA-85 vs DA-100.. Idecided the 33% and the DA-85. Would love to have gone the 35% airframe but havent got the pennys for...
