RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

Can you show me the shape and dimension of the Air-trumpet? Also where should it be installed?

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

It looks like the carb is too large for the engine. Is there an easy way to modify the existing carb for JBA15G instead of replacing it? I don't mind losing a bit of power.

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

vt-flier,

I think 14 x 6 is too light a prop for this engine. Try 15 x 6 or 14 x 8. Also make sure the mixture is not too lean. Try running it with a richer HS setting.

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

I'm glad to hear this. Mine went 10900 plus and going up when I was trying to adjust the high speed. I backed down immediately. Consequently I haven't adjusted the carb, yet. I went through 4...

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

What I was looking for was a replacement for a 60 size glow engine. Now there are many 90 engines which have the old 60 size frame such as JBA-90. The airframes that can carry those engines are...

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

Thank you for the info. My other engines use CM6. So it's nice to have just one type of spark plugs.

I hope for your quick recovery.

Best Regards,

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

Manuel,

Please clarify in what respect CM6 ran better for this engine? More power, more reliable ignition, or smoother transition?

Thank you.

Thank you. Sounds like it would be a good idea to remove a thread and half.

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

I used to run my 125cc motorcycle with 15:1 ratio when there was no 2 cycle oils available. That doesn't mean this engine will not have a trouble starting with 15:1;)

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

Thanks again, both Jody and Manuel.

So far so good. For the break-in, I'll try 14x6 prop, Motul800 if I find it, otherwise I'll use Redline Racing, and 87 octane gas which I use for my all...

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

mpascual,

Thank you for clarifying the oil issue. I know you have mentioned concerning the octane rating of the fuel for JBA15G . The manual does not mention it.

Have you ever tested 87...

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

I saw Redline Two-Stroke Racing Oil at a local motorcycle store. It's all synthetic. But it didn't have JASO FD or API TC. The Redline website doesn't mention it, either. Is that a problem?

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

Any suggestion as to which synthetic? I'm looking at 2 synthetic oils I found on the web. Amsoil sounds like having some problem for the break-in according to some previous posts.

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

I have a MAS S-2 14x6 prop. Is this good for break-in of JBA15G? How about Zinger 13x6? The manual seems to indicate 13x8 but I don't have a 13x8.

Also I have Valvoline 2 stroke Motorcycle...

I'm surprised about 6V. Are you talking about 5 AAs? Did you separate the Ignition Power?

RE: RCGF Engines

I have a new RCGF-26cc from TBM. TBM calls it Aerovate 26.
The prop hub is different from the old one. I like the looks. The user manual lists the old style only.

I don't know how to remove...

Thanks, T.O.M., for the photo.

aussiesteve's photo shows different failure. So I guess both are possible.

RE: SK ENGINES

SK-50 should be mounted side way to have either the stock muffler or the pitts muffler Kangke offers to position the muffler under the engine. Maybe I'm missing something here.
