Buy a gallon of Zep proffesional drain cleaner a Lowes for 5.99 and soak the parts for 3 minutes. Completely removes all color and cleans up with a rag and soap & water. Leaves a nice natural look or...

Left it in hot water almost boiling with only afaint trace of yellow after one hour. I have done dozens of wheels like this with fanastic results ,look at these wheels.

it was a new body that i cleaned with soap and water before dyeing. Maybe it was the yellow color that would not take.

hndaman,I tried dying a firehammer body with rit dye and it would not absorb into the plastic. Some plastics will not take the dye. I was using yellow dye.

Boots are available from any Audi,Porsche or VW dealer. U.S. part # is 443-906-102-G. Should be the same # in Europe. Same thing FG sells for $15.00.

use the 2 threaded holes in the flywheel to run 2 bolts down (evenly ) and the flywheel will pop off.

chrome, spliting the cases is not complicated at all. 1. remove the clutch. 2. remove the flywheel. 3.remove your old top end . 4. take the 4 bolts out behind the flywheel that hold the cases...

selwa, you are right they are thicker. I think the duratrax stresstech parts are stronger than the FG's. This is based on having broke far more FG parts than duratrax parts
