RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

You have to let the Rx (receiver) arm itself and there's a safety feature. Try this:
1. You have to make sure the Transmitter throttle and throttle trim lever are all the way down (that's the...

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2

It's been rough in the hobby business. Lots of store owners, some of them my friends, have gone out of business. I feel bad for them. If things don't get worse, and manage to turn around pretty soon,...

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2

Hey guys, just dropped in to say hi.

It's too bad they didn't make Spyder Pig upside down :) At least he's not the Harry Plopper verison :D

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2

Hey guys... Hi, and I wish all of you and yours a Merry Christmas and happy holiday season.
That's not the only reason why I dropped by today. I wonder if I can get some honest opinions, fast.

RE: Official Hobby Zone

I hadn't hit a tree in what seems like forever. Last Spring I read a post from a pilot who crashed into trees often, and I made a joke to my son about how this guy should learn to avoid them (after...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

This is the FlyZone Super Cub, not the older J-3 Cub.
I don't think this is a beginner's plane. It doesn't fly itself like the Hobbyzone Super Cub or Mini Super Cub. I have a mixture of beginner...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Hey guys... yup, I'm still around and watch this thread even though I'm not posting too much.
Monday was my birthday (60) and the plane I ordered from Tower to honor the occasion came in right on...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Hey guys. It's been a busy summer but I've managed to do some flying. I haven't put the floats back on the SC yet, but I do plan to.
Here's a recent aerial vid of Fort Hill park.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Hey guys. You know I pop in here now and then, and in a flash I'll be gone again and not heard from for a while. Oh well....
I'd like to address the issue of Fixed Pitch rotor pitch. Most of what...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Not a great trainer. That puts it in a league of several other nice planes. More like the best r/c trainer ever made. Except for hard core nitro guys, I don't know any experienced pilot (who's...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

72.790 mHz is channel 50. 72mHz is used in the US. 35mHz is used in other parts of the world but isn't legal in the US. You need to get a 72mHz receiver. 35mHz and 72mHz won't work together.

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Yes, that will cause problems. I took the (crooked) landing gear out of the equation and leveled the picture on the wing pins. Your tail assembly is pretty far off.

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2

That insect has 2 pair of wings. There are a lot of flies that have evolved to look like wasps (scares their enemies), but I think they all have a single set of wings like normal flies (and deer...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

You could consider a couple keychain cams off eBay for 8.99 each including shipping. I think Hobby King has them for $15 which is a pretty good deal since theirs are 640 pixel wide instead of a...

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2

Hey guys - I know I've been gone for a while. I've been real busy but still pop in to read once in a while. I hate to say it, but I'll probably disappear again for a while after this post. We had to...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

This is a measured 200'. It's a 30" bar stool that I grabbed from Bill's Tavern. The guy using it is now sleeping safely on the floor.
There is a HB on top with flo. orange canopy, and HB V2 on the...

I thought it was very well done and couldn't figure out how you got the fly noise.

RE: Official Hobby Zone

That's not much information to go on. If this is a plane that you've had sitting around for a while, my guess is that you have a battery problem, not a motor problem. Is it NiMH or LiPo? Try charging...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

There you go, Russ. You're getting the hang of it. I think I could see a cart wheel coming at around 1:05, so remember to try not to turn when you're too low. It usually won't end well.

RE: Official Hobby Zone

The AR6100 will work fine. The 6 gram servos are a little small. You might consider 9 grams.

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Beautiful.
Well, I found out that it taxies on the water a while before it takes off (at least mine did) and steering won't happen at low speed but it's quick as can be at high speed. It's a long...

Yes, it's a keychain cam.
I never had the xport so I can't help you with that.
