RE: Night Ranger Micro 3d issues.

Wow, there is so much wrong with what you just said there I don't even know where to start. I'm sure getting hit by a Raptor 90 would be rather unpleasant if not fatal, but the fact is I actually...

RE: Newest palm sized contra heli from Walkera

Whistler, I just wanted to let you know I was being sarcastic about the aluminum case being necessary, perhaps trying to justify my purchase, lol. I should have clarified. I bought a the esky tail...

RE: Newest palm sized contra heli from Walkera

Well, I randomly saw this post yesterday and didn't really think too much about it immediately because I just got a picco z clone. My friend got two of them from woot, if your familiar, great site. ...

RE: Travel With Your Heli Just Got More Difficult

It shouldn't be too big a problem providing your heli is hobby grade, just pull of the cowling and show them it's harmless... I suppose I'd keep any and all lipos separate though.

RE: CX2 3 in 1 repairable?

Hmmm, I have 3 12 amp 8 pin dip sitting not more 6 feet from me, and like 10 20 amp to-220s.... I'd put fuses in if you don't have them though. It's easy enough and it could save you a lot of grief...

RE: CX2 3 in 1 repairable?

Capacitors wouldn't allow it to short either. Only AC can "go through" a cap. Maybe he had a short somewhere, it doesn't really matter all that much because all said and done if the 3 in 1 is burnt...

RE: monster cx

I can't see the stock escs handling that... I can make you an uhhhh... adapter that'll let you do it though.

RE: Nose in Hovering

Another tip for learning nose in if you can fly just fine: Fly straight at yourself, at a safe distance. Determine what speed you can fly at comfortably, and do that. Then as you take passes,...

RE: CX2 3 in 1 repairable?

The item your looking for is called a mosfet. Although I'm not sure which one the CX2 uses, and beleive me, there are thousands out there. I'm also unsure of what kind of amperage the cx draws... ...

RE: Night Ranger Micro 3d issues.

I suppose I'll give venom a call on monday and see what they say... At worst, I'm an electrical/computer engineer, so I'll just add or replace the mosfet which is causeing the problem, because I...

RE: Night Ranger Micro 3d issues.

redvtr1000, I also play paintball, often we use barrel socks, have a chrono of our own, and have very strict safety rules. I always think before I act. I also beleive that you gave that story a...

Night Ranger Micro 3d issues.

So, I've had this little helicopter since like 3 days after they came out, and I counted myself lucky to have scored one, but to tell you the truth I've spent very little time with it, although it's...

Custom ESCs

Hi everyone. I've been making custom electronics for a while including ESCs. I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm now offering my services to the public. I can make custom ESCs as per your...

RE: video camera on a T-Rex

2.4 GHz will not interfere with a PCM system. PCM is 72 MHz. Beyond that, a 2.4 GHz video system should not interfere with a spektrum system either, even though they are the "same" frequency range,...

RE: No hope for my XL

You may want to consider the motor. I dumped a plane, prop first into the ground, and it partially burned out one of my connections. It would fly fine for a bit, then the motor would heat up, and...

RE: Is there a foamy that can handle a blender?

I may try to enter the flat spin just a bit slower, which should slow the plane down a bit, and load the wings less. From what I'm seeing though I definitely shouldn't stop trying.

RE: Buliding a gas boat.

My biggest project is a VTOL 4 ducted fan craft. I've got some insane stuff going on there, and a huge cash potential if I succeed. It hasn't been done yet, not well anyways. Funny that you...

RE: Buliding a gas boat.

I've been using the mikroelectronica mikro-C compiler. It's been wonderful for me so far. Although I need to start using C30 in MPLAB, because I have some of the fancy new dsPICs to program. I...

RE: New T-Rex owner!

Now that's what I'm talking about! 32 bucks sound about my budget at the moment, although I have yet to look at the other recommended packs, due to the lack of helicopter showing up in package. ...

RE: Is there a foamy that can handle a blender?

It wasn't an airfoilz that I broke, haha, that would be rather disturbing, it was a flatout, which I'm sure surprises nobody, haha. Thanks for the info though, I was beginning to think that anything...

RE: Buliding a gas boat.

What I was saying that the engine torque, is not always indicative of the power getting to the ground, in car terms, water here, so while it'll have an accurate measure of the torque, it necessarily...

RE: Buliding a gas boat.

The torque on the engine mounts will be directly proportional to the friction induced by the drive system, as well as the hydro-dynamics of the prop in the water. In theory that could work, but it...

RE: Buliding a gas boat.

Maybe a laser tachometer, and a strain gauge right behind the prop. That would measure a very realistic power estimate. Although it would be biased to the prop, and not the motor directly, then...

RE: Buliding a gas boat.

Anything is possible, perhaps something that works for all servos, maybe it has it's own voltage check system, it could, instead of doing something to just one servo, it could set positions for all...
