I find the included linkage has a little slop. This is partly do to the holes in the MKS servo arms being a little to big. Have others lived with the slop or upgraded to ball joint linkage.

If I remove the motor and put a voltmeter in place. I will see voltage for a couple of seconds and then it goes to 0. I don't think it is the motor.

RE: A123 batteries

I am considering A123 w/o regulator in my 50cc. I just bought new Troy Built Models TBM Li-ions and MPI regulator/switch. I have had good luck in the past with this setup. I am going to a Spektrum...

RE: Dual battery question

I am liking this A123 idea. I actually have a few cells laying around (I was playing with them for my electrics but still found the power to weight better with LIPO for now). Anyway, I am going to...

RE: cowl cutting- no one doing 2/1 for cooling

I has been a few years, but I remember from my heat transfer classes that turbulent flow is important for convection. Rough surfaces on heat sinks are important to increase surface area and creat...

RE: BME YAK 54 87"

There are some simple thing you can do to lighten up these planes. My 1st generation BME Yak came out just shy of 16 lbs. I did nothing too exotic. I cut out the cockpit, left the wheel pants off...

RE: BME YAK 54 87"

That is odd. My hitec servos have always worked fine out of the box. Make sure your receiver pack is fully charged. I don't know what else could be wrong.

RE: BME YAK 54 87"

I ended up putting Graphtech main gear on my YAK. I bought #224. They fit perfect. I really like them and they are so much more rigid than the originals.

RE: BME YAK 54 87"

I busted my gear today. 23 flights, 30+ landings and I goofed and pancaked it. It hit hard and I really don't blame BME for the breakage. Could they have been stronger? Probably. Anyway, I...

RE: BME YAK 54 87"

I have been having a blast with my YAK (It is my first big gasser). I just finished the first 2 gallons (20, 15minute flights!) and have gone to the normal mix. My DA50 seems to be running great.
