RE: Biggest R/C boat you've seen?

Somewhere there is the story of Guy Lombardo and his boats. Tempo Alcoa was the last and he ran it up on the beach and then rebuilt it. It was designed to go after the water speed record. The last...

RE: walbro cleaning, paint thinner ,poliuretanic thinner is sure?

If they are available, use a regular carburetor cleaner. If you have a Yamaha dealer, their carburetor cleaner is amazing.

RE: WHAT A DEAL

I think everyone made the same mistake we did and used it as a blower. These things work great!!!

RE: cracker box building the saga!

Fastrat is telling you right! Many clutches drag enough that the prop keeps spinning at idle. There good clutches (expensive), fair clutches (still heavy and expensive), and POS clutches (Homie).

RE: Homelite 30cc blower

The transfer ports on the old 30cc cylinder work on the 25cc crankcase, the port area on the case should be matched to the 30cc cylinder which is larger. I don't think the new cylinder will fit on...

RE: Homelite 30cc blower

I am converting a 30cc Homelite blower engine. If you check my thread you will find all the particulars. The blower shaft is not the same as the trimmer shaft! I am using the shaft out of another...

RE: best conversion engine?

IMHO; RedMax, trimmer or blower. This is the Zenoah engine. Just find one that has the size engine you need.

RE: clutch

The stock Homie clutch isn't made to pull a load. It is possible to add a third shoe if you have the deep drum, some of the suppliers sell a heavy duty unit, you can modify a McCulloch 32cc clutch...

RE: Stihl 041 AV

The exhaust port is controlled by the top of the piston and the intake is controlled by the bottom. Simple enough!

RE: WHAT A DEAL

Captin;
Like you, I made the mistake of using the blower. Now I need to get another one to convert. I am currently working on a new Homelite/Ryobi 30cc that I know I can get conversion parts for.

RE: Octane Booster?

Adding NOS without adding fuel can fry pistons in a flash. NOS without additional fuel for it to burn works just like a cutting torch.

RE: Side Port Ryobi? 30cc

I just finished cutting down the crankcase for CH ignition and matching the flange to the cylinder. I am going to port the cylinder but decided to test it stock first. There are some differences in...

RE: Evolution/MVVS 45 carb tubing

The elbow (nipple A) on the cover, connects to the diaphragm on the carb. This is the pulse line that connects to the crank case.
The straight nipple (nipple B) connects to the fuel chamber with...

RE: Octane Booster?

Your local speed shop can inform you where to get alcohol. Alky will give a performance boost if you have enough compression but it takes twice as much alcohol as gasoline. It also tends to destroy...

RE: Octane Booster?

IMHO; The modified Zenoah with the 13/1 high compression button will self destruct without the proper fuel.

RE: Octane Booster?

The high compression Zenoah needs to use either alcohol or 93 octane gas with octane booster. Oil decreases the effective octane rating. If the engine spark knocks, it will soon self-destruct! I...

RE: Side Port Ryobi? 30cc

This is the Homelite/Ryobi engine, made in China. The cylinder has excellent transfer ports but can use some help on the intake and exhaust. Properly modified, it should make serious power. I...

RE: Jetsprint river climb

RE: Building First Boat

I bought a set of those bits sometime back, EVERYONE should have a set of these. I had a broken stud on one of my 1100XS bikes that I had tried everything else to pull. They work great.

RE: Reverse rotation

It is difficult to install reed valves unless the engine is designed for them. On the high performance motorcycle engines, the reed box is angled to feed under the piston and use crankcase windage...

RE: Zama Remote Primer bulb?

Almost any small engine shop has a diversity of primer bulbs. Just buy one that matches the bad one. Watch out for the fuel line sizes though.
