I had that happen once, it was my Deans connectors for my power. Cold solder joint and the wire was moving around in the heat shrink. Do you know how much your current draw is at full power?

The paint is just a typical "Rustoleum" type spray paint. It peels off easily when you apply a sticker, so I had to be somewhat strategic when I reinforced the motor mount with duct...
