RE: Where Did You Get Your First Park Flyer?

My first was a SLo-V, given to me from my GF about 2 years ago, I loved that plane :) the only mods i did to it were the 1180 prop and the 7 cell nimh battery....

RE: Gws floats on A firebird phantom

I found a waterplane forum on RCGroups.com, you may want to research your topic there...and actually...getting your electronics water logged won't damage them, the main component that needs to be...

RE: TRYING TO SLOW THE PLANE DOWN

The firebird phantom is naturally a pretty sleek and faster trainer from what I've seen...you may want to just pick up the spare parts to make something like a Parkzne SLo-V or even a GWS Slow Stick...

RE: ParkFlyer sized EasyGlider?

Man, the Multiplex Easy star may have rudder+elevator but if you turn up the rates, you'll get aleron like performance...I can't stop raving about that plane since 5 of my buddies all trained and...

RE: Inexpensive 4ch park flyer

Go with a Parkzone warbird and use some of that new found building experience to turn it into a 4 channel ;)

I "believe" that the Focke Wulf and P-51 both use the same motor as the Super Cub...

RE: Ideas for 380 motor

I've got a brushed 380 on my Parkzone Slo-V...with a 1180 prop and a lil nimh or ncad (whatever) it works just fine.

I'm actually going to attempt to use another one of these motors, 380 or...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

mdelling, there may be a posting about this early in this thread, I'm almost sure of it because i made my own prop saver awhile back with a simple gasket and a lil wing nut...problem was actually the...

Hobiecatlob...ping Parkzone directly for that, or look at the spare parts listing, they might list the size of it.

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

I responded to another thread asking to check the wires on the ESC/RX board...but i think one more thing is to try and check the voltage on the battery, it REALLY sounds like you need to charge the...

RE: Slo-v ESC/RX How to fix?

ESC is used to govern the power to the motor basically.

The RX (recevier) is the lil circuit board where all the servos and motor(s) plug into to receive transmissions from the TX (radio,...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

Yeah Lol! my wins flap whenever i try to flew invert...I've got to try a BL setup though, i really like to take the SLo-V up on windy days and let her fly up with the kites at the local park, always...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

Heya SLo-V Flyer,

did you strengthen your main wing to compensate for the increase speed from your setup? I notice mine likes to flap around if it goes too fast....

Danjfoley...

take...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

I'm not trying to spar by my comment but i'll just casually put it out there that you can get an RTF Easy Star for around the same price or less than a SLo-V.

Parts for a PZ plane will be...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

heh, personally, after seeing 5 of my buddies now "begin" with a Multiplex EasyStar I'd say the slo-v was too pricey for a beginner's plane even though parts for it were much easier to obtain.

RE: SMALL,CRASH PROOF, SLOW FLYER WANTED

These are way better than Airhogs imho (see URL). I believe they're also marketed under Venom Planes at LHS - i know I've seen them over at HobbyTown USA under that label here in CA.

I dunno...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

Heya, check the manual for the exact CoG - I'm sorry, I'm not at home at the moment to find this for ya....

I would try and slip that wing back to the furthest "back" notch though since you're...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

Maybe a surface is warped? could be a bad balance? what's your CoG?

Also, did you give the main wing a few clicks "back" on the lil part where it clips onto the fuselage? I personally fly...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

I "think" the slow stick would handle the power better than an unmodified SLo-V. Tthe Slo-V's wings do some serious floppage whenever I push it into a steep dive, I'd hate to see it with a BL going...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

Yep get away from housing developments. My servos still twitch a lil bit but not badly whenever i fly at the local park.

Also, my TX has never failed due to a crash, that's plain poor service...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

I think by my 2nd week of contactly crashing and waiting on parts, i went out and bought two extra of everything that "looked" breakable just to save me time from having to go to the store lol :p

Yeah dude, my solder on the motor finally fell off after God knows how many flights in the last year and my wing is so battered that it's literally warped, makes flying "extra" fun ;)

RE: ParkZone NEW FW-190 Butcher Bird

Wow that sucks. I've had a plastic pinion on mine and it only just now started to fail after about two major nose in wrecks and 6 months of Lipo-charged use.

I'm still on my 2nd plastic...

RE: P-51 D RTF

Yeah that P-51 is a low winger for one, which makes it pretty touchy when it comes to manuevering - I would highly recommend that if you want an RTF, that you pick a trainer with a high wing setup...

RE: 'Wall Art' brought to you by the Stryker F27-C..

RE: 2 Guys looking for our first Park Flyer

I highly suggest going with a ready to fly setup a beginner and then moving into something you'd build on your own, like a Slo Stick.

I started out about a year ago with a PZ SLo-V, it came with...
