RE: Aluminum RC Boats!

sundogz,

If I got that 2340 from Cornwall, what kind of motor and ESC should I look to get? I would match it up with that beautiful red 32" Ricochet that Mozzie just painted up. My goal for the...

RE: Aluminum RC Boats!

Mozzie, sent you a PM, let me know if you got it. My Inbox is saying I haven't sent anything, so I'm not sure what's going on.

RE: Aluminum RC Boats!

Yikes those prices are crazy for jet drives. I thought for sure the HK would be decently priced but it's more pricey than the boat itself!

RE: Aluminum RC Boats!

Those colors look fantastic! Ideally I would love to do the jet drive setup. I am not a speed fanatic, I would probably look to do something that probably does 25-30 tops with very long run times of...

RE: Aluminum RC Boats!

I am super interested in this boat! It looks really cool and would love to have that 32" version with a jet. But I know absolutely nothing about jet boats and what kind of setup to run. How do you...

RE: Some crazy lade tried to get on my case for running at the local pond today

While the language was strong, it was also appropriate.

I have a story for you guys too. Not trying to hijack the thread but, I was recently running my boat at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri....

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!

Well, I finally canceled my preorder from Tower. At this point since it is getting too cold I am going to wait it out till spring and let the people down south give it a test this winter first to...

RE: traxxas sparten question

Did we ever determine if that was true or was it just a rumor? I myself think it was all because of the same names, but, that's just my guess.

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!

No it's purely because of the Aeromarine Titan me thinks. I think a lawsuit was in order. I have a feeling this entire delay is due to this problem. There probably has never been anything wrong...

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!

Wow really? Dang that is wierd. I thought for sure it was a joke after reading the responses on the traxxas forums. Bummer about the name, Titan was a good one. I just wish the letter had been a...

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!

A post was made on the Traxxas forum, but it seems to be a joke to me. Here it is:

Dear Traxxas Enthusiast,

Following is updated news about the Traxxas Titan boat. First we want to...

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!

Yes I was just saying that all out would drain batteries quicker. Would lower voltage put less strain on the components?

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!

Also depends on your driving. If you go all out, of course times will be shorter by a lot then someone who cruises around.

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!

If you use a 7.2V instead of a 11.1, runtimes will probably be upwards of 15-20 minutes. My MHZ boat can go about 35 minutes on one 7.2V 5800 battery.

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!

What I've heard is the plastic isn't strong enough. Fiberglass.

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!

Just ordered one from Tower for $310. Will let ya know when it comes in. I will be GPSing the included batters, two 2s, and two 3s to test performance on stock prop.

RE: titan or miss geico?

I would probably get the Titan over the Geico if those are the only boats you are considering. The cat will not be very good at all in choppy water. Vee's are much better.

RE: Miss Geico 29 Pro Boat

Haha I know. But I usually run my boats on a lake where the water is super rough so like just flooring it on the 2s and just bouncing over the waves. I would be airborne with a 3s or 4s.
