Revo 3.3 REverse Problem

So I went to put my truck in reverse last night and it wouldn't work. It would rev like there was a neutral, then if I rolled it or picked it up, it would slip into gear (the servo was working...

Revo 3.3 RPM Problem

So I just finished breaking in my Revo 3.3 and something odd started happening. The engine had to rev really high to get any forward movement, does the same in reverse. Won't get much speed and...

Hello,

I got out of RC flight about 4 years ago when my son was born, now he is seen an RC plane and liked it so it looks like I am going to get back into flying.

My question is what has...

74" EF Yak Fuel Tank

What is everyone using for a fuel tank for the 74" EF Yak and where are you putting it? I am putting a Brillelli 46 in mine. My first thought was right up front in or slightly behind the engine...

RE: Best YAK for 46CC Gasser

I think it is down to the 74" EF or 73" QQ. I have heard nothing bad about either.

Is either one more durable? I fly off grass so if one can handle that better, that would be my decision...

RE: Best YAK for 46CC Gasser

How is the quality of the Goldberg model? I had an EF 68" Yak and it was the best plane I ever flew so I know what to expect with EF. And I have heard nothing but good about the QQ models.

Best YAK for 46CC Gasser

I want to get a Yak for my Brillelli 46cc gas engine, but not sure which is the best fit. I know EF has a 77", Somenzini has a 73" and 85" and I think there are a few others.

Which will be the...

I think I really messed up

Well, I think I have a problem. I just took the weights off of my newly sheeted OMP 80" Edge profile fuse and it is really warped. I knew I had a less than perfect building surface, so before...

RE: 74" Edge now in 8 pieces - WHY?

The other guys out there said a couple other people have crashed and could have gotten hit, but we have never really had a problem.

I have personally never had a problem either. Plus, no one...

RE: 74" Edge now in 8 pieces - WHY?

I thought about the y connector also, I already pitched it. I did reconnect everything and it all worked correctly.

This was a new plane. I flew it once before with a glow engine. This was...

RE: 74" Edge now in 8 pieces - WHY?

I was flying about 1/4-1/3 throttle, so I think I had enough airspeed, but maybe not. When it went in, it was pretty far away and it is entirely possible I misjudged airspeed. I think at the end,...

74" Edge now in 8 pieces - WHY?

Well, my 74" Edge is now in way more pieces that it is supposed to be. It was acting a little weird during the flight today, but not enough to think much of it. Then, at one corner of the field, it...

Mike - regarding the hatch. I was trying to determine if I glue the hatch into the foam like the wing tube supports. It sort of sounded like I was supposed to, but did not make sense. After seeing...

RE: What size engine

I had a 40 on order, but just found out about an hour ago that they are coming out with a 46 in the next couple weeks that is lighter than the 40 adn has more power. That is what I am going to use.

RE: What size engine

How about staying in the 1.20 range and getting a 30-40 gasser? How is the selection of 1.20 size planes?

RE: What size engine

What is the wingspan on your Wildhare Edge?

What is the typical wingspan range that will do 3D with a 50cc? From what I have seen, it is usually in the 80s, is that correct?

RE: What size engine

After looking around RCU some more, I found that there are not a lot of planes for 30-40cc, but a ton for a 50cc. Would it makes sense to stuff a 50 into this Edge so that when I retire it, I have...

What size engine

I have a 120 Edge that I am looking for an engine for. I like Saito 4 strokes, but at this size, I want something much more fuel efficient. I am considering a 30-40cc gasser, or a 1.20-1.60 2...

Engine Opinion

I have an EF 68" Yak and a Yellow 74" Edge that I fly with a Saito 1.80. I love the performance of the Saito, but this engine is a huge fuel hog.

I would like to replace the Saito with a gas...
