RE: Post in this thread to win a FREE 100W soldering iron from MaxAmps.com

I could use a good iron. Here's my entry.

Thanks for the chance.

RE: Turning point of Classic.. Zeus 120 build

Nicely done. Now I just need to get out to the field and see it in person. I do like the old style pattern planes over the "wide body" designs of today.

RE: Turning point of Classic.. Zeus 120 build

Haven't flown for a couple of months. I've turned into a bit of a wuss. When it's cold I don't much like to be out at the field.

RE: Turning point of Classic.. Zeus 120 build

That thing looks like a frikin meat tenerizer.:D Should be plenty of power for it. There are a few of those engines on the Northwest pattern circuit and they seem to run quite well. Jim comes to...

RE: Turning point of Classic.. Zeus 120 build

Hey JR,
I was just figuring that if you were working on the plane, you wouldn't be out practicing.

See ya Friday,

RE: Turning point of Classic.. Zeus 120 build

Bout time you got back on that. Glad to hear that the Snohomish event went well for you, I got an email from someone that attended, they said you flew the plane quite well. I'm still bummed I...

RE: Turning point of Classic.. Zeus 120 build

He's got quite a collection eh? I guess I do remember talking to him about it. Seems like he aquired it VIA Loren who had put some 2 stroker in it so the cowel was all hacked up. If I were more of...

RE: Turning point of Classic.. Zeus 120 build

Congrats. Not many folks can say they've flown a Zeus. They do fly quite well, I liked the plane John created before the Zeus too, Perfecto. It was very much like the wide bodies of today, not...

RE: Turning point of Classic.. Zeus 120 build

Hey Tater,
I just looked through your gallery, I do remember you. Hope all is and has been well in your part of the world.

Hey JR,
Sorry for the brief thread hi-jacking. Let's get back to...

RE: Return to pattern

Thought a bit of an update was in order. I've had the Miss wind to three contests now, i've come away with two firsts and 2nd, the plane is pretty darn awesome. I changed props on it today, I...

RE: Turning point of Classic.. Zeus 120 build

Tater, I think recognize that airplane. Did you bring it into the NW U.S. much?

Hey JR,
Nice looking build, it will be cool to have a Zeus gracing our friendly skies again.

RE: Lightning Build

Nice end result Jeff. Congratulations on a job well done. The plane looks great and after a few "get aquainted" flights, I'm sure you'll have her dialed in and groovin nicely.

RE: Lightning Build

Looks good Jeff. Seeing more and more orange's show up on planes than we seen back in the day, it's a nice change. Hartley H. out of Canada has a plane with about the same color that you have on...

RE: Return to pattern

Hey Mel,
It was actually Sunday that got a little busy at the field. It'll only take a little more tweaking to get it back to where it was, probably better. I noticed that the left two ailerons...

RE: Return to pattern

Not sure your dad has much to worry about. I'm using up some electrons but I'm just trying to get the feel of the thing. I did find the programming issue. There were two active mixes that I didn't...

RE: Return to pattern

Well, I have the first 10 or 12 flights on the miss wind now. Very nice flying plane. The assembly was a piece of cake, nothing worth even noting. The suggested motor and ESC work very well,...

RE: Return to pattern

I haven't taken everything out of the box yet. First impressions? The thing looks awesome. What I've seen of it so far, there are a couple of bubles in the covering, not a big deal at all. The...

RE: Return to pattern

Well, I bought the Miss wind. I found that F3A unlimited had a special going which saved me about the cost of shipping, so I ordered it from them on Monday. It arrived today, Thursday. Pretty darn...

RE: Return to pattern

Thanks for all the feed back. I appreciate it. I'm really leaning towards the Miss wind, which is the biplane. If the Osiris came with two wings it would definately be intriguing.

Turns out...

Return to pattern

I'm planning a return to pattern flying after about 12 years being out of it. I'm really considering the SEBART miss wind 50. Two things that I can't seem to find on line. Where to buy the thing...

Foamies

Hey all,
I have a Mega 16/15/3, CC 35 and two 2000MAH 3s2p batteries, I'm wanting to get a 3-D foamy, will this be an OK combo? What plane is suggested for this motor?
Thanks, Alan
