RE: Gee Bee R3 30cc

Well, I can't seem to catch a break. With the CG back at 175mm(with the DLE 30), I decided to pull my DLE 55 out of another plane and install it in the GeeBee. I also moved the elev. servos forward...

RE: Gee Bee R3 30cc

BOYOBOYOBOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got mine "done", fired the engine (DLE 30). When I checked the CG is when the roof fell in on me. It is 175mm behind the leading edge. I hate adding...

RE: PeakModel Sbach 300 30cc Build thread

Thanks.

Did you use the same silicone tube on the wood mount? Is it snug enough to not rattle?

RE: PeakModel Sbach 300 30cc Build thread

QuestionHow would you recommend to retain a cannister muffler? I am putting it in a Peak Sbach with a DLE 30. I enlarged the wood bracket 1mm as recommended by Peak to get the cannister thru.

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe

Flew it again today. Even with the prop change, still only need half throttle. I think I will change from my Spektrum to my 10X for the throttle curve. Honestly, I think the Saito 91 or 100 would be...

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe

I did the maiden today even though it was overcast. What an awesome plane. Axial rolls, round loops, straight knife edge and almost lands itself. The only problem was that it is fast, even at quarter...

RE: 160 Fusion

I have run several 160's on either 5% or 10% with wood 18 X 6 props. I tried APC's but they are heavier and don't wind up as quick. I also have never seen the need for a pump, if you get the needles...

RE: Nitroplanes 90" P-38 (1/7 scale) with 3 piece wing and more

Ram,

It's worth the price of a ticket to see it in a low flyby. Can't tell it is not close to scale. Sure is a smooth and responsive flier.

RE: Nitroplanes 90" P-38 (1/7 scale) with 3 piece wing and more

Hi Rich,

We probably won't be up until the second half of May. It was a little breezy and about 69 here.

Ram,

Spring air retracts with no gear doors, no fancy struts on the LG. I think...

RE: Nitroplanes 90" P-38 (1/7 scale) with 3 piece wing and more

Hey Ram,

I flew mine this morning. I didn't go as far as you are with the modifications. I only cut the wings for removable tips and added retracts. I am using YS 63's, 2 receivers and...

John told me (on Feb. 15) they were getting ready to send wood to the laser cutters and it might take 2 or 3 weeks to have the kits ready. OMP is taking preorders now. He also said they were only...

Power Strip

A week or so ago, I saw a post showing a power strip costing $20 that runs the battery power directly to the servos. Now I can't find it again. Can anyone help? Do you know of another low priced one?...

RE: A new P-38 ARF

I have mine just about ready to go. I am making the final installations now. I made the wigtips removable and installed retracts. Will use a twinsych with onboard glow.

What I am wondering is...
