RE: Deans Connector

Re-solder what you got and it should be fine. Make sure you tin the connector as well as the wire before soldering the two together.

RE: Heli wobbles during flight

Update. I replaced the new flybar paddles with the old, larger ones and now I'm finding it much easier to get into a hover and stay there but it's still wobbling in flight.

I realize that the...

RE: Heli wobbles during flight

It wobbles no mater what my head speed is. Looking straight down on the rotor head I can see a wobble movement even with the new main shaft. It goes away at higher head speeds though. Here's the...

RE: Heli wobbles during flight

It's still wobbling [&o]

I'll check to see if anything else needs an adjustment and I'll shoot some video in front of a gauge to see if I can detect where the wobble is coming from.

RE: Heli wobbles during flight

*Raises hand* :D

By "self-correction" I'm referring to leaving the blades just loose enough in the grips to allow for centrifugal force to pull the blades out and straight on throttle up. And...

RE: Heli wobbles during flight

DanMN, I have my blades loose enough to allow for self correction on spin-up.

GuitarPlayer, I balanced my blades and paddles before I attached them and I used a digital caliper to adjust the...

RE: Heli wobbles during flight

Thanks for all the speedy replies. I took off the main shaft today and noticed that it was bent right where it meets the rotor hub. I also noticed that the main drive gear is torqued. I've ordered...

Heli wobbles during flight

I have a Falcon 40 heli which I've been using for flight practice and I'm having a problem. The heli has developed a terrible wobble motion which can be observed as soon as any throttle is applied. I...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

I'm back! It's been awhile, but I have a question. I lost one of my universal dogbones while driving and I want to replace it with something better. Will these work? It'll be going on my Evader ST....

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

New Castle Link version 3.05 is available for download! I have no idea what difference it makes for the Mamba and there aren't any new options for configuring, but, it's an update so it must be...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Start low, around an 18 tooth pinion with that high of a kV motor. Then, see if you like the feel of it and then gear up or down as you feel to be necessary.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Can someone please help me with that (see post #10292).

Yes Joe, the Deans make a huge difference and you can use them down the road if you go brushless. Tamiyas are rated for 15 amps...

RE: cheap lipo

I have a 7.4V 6000 mAh Max Amps pack for my Mamba set up. It flies down my street. :D
I would guess that my top speed was 55 or 60 MPH in my Evader ST.

Definitely spend the money on a Max Amps...

RE: Li-Po Charger/Batt Questions

Yes, you need a balancer! Always balance when you charge!

I would suggest a 5000-6000 mAh 2S 7.4V LiPo from Max Amps (less mAh if you're on a buget).
Good luck soldering the Deans.

RE: Water proofing LiPo batteries

I guess I'll just put them in some small, cheap plastic tupperware and silicon seal it with the wires out. These batteries aren't being used in the kind of RC boats the people on these threads are...

Water proofing LiPo batteries

How do you prepare a LiPo battery for use in a boat? Is there anything special I should put the battery in or warp it in? If the boat crashes or sinks, is there anyway to keep a LiPo battery from...

RE: What's a good on-road chassis?

I don't know but I think they do. I've seen Hot Bodies parts there before. I don't think parts availability will be an issue.

My plan is to put a 5000 kV Novak motor into the Cyclone with a 2S...
