RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

If you're going to run headlong into a metal pole at a baseball field, don't get the Derlin material for your bumper; it'll snap in half! :D

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

How long do your brushes last you with a 12 turn? I probably got around 20 runs with a Reedy Quad and 7-cells before I had to replace the brushes.

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

They're the stock Prolines. I swapped the stock Prolines off after three runs because I drive mostly on asphalt so I've been running with the Hawgs for a while now. I went for a spin in the dirt...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

I swapped my dirt hawg I's today for the stock rear tires and there is a world of traction difference between the two. I like the hawgs for how they wear, but the nobbies are night and day grippier...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

I went with this DuraTrax IntelliPeak as opposed to Piranha:

It is REALLY tiny, the picture is very deceptive; it fits in your...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

With my Hawgs I have the same issue; I have to ease the throttle up or else it fish-tails into a spin-out (Reedy Quad/7-cells/24T pinion); I was thinking of upgrading the hawgs to something a little...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

Took my BX to the parking lot today and pulled a wheelee from a dead stop with my dirt hawgs on it (slick); I had to drop the throttle before it flipped.... wish I had taken film of that. It's...

Did you use sticky back velco or go through the frame?

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

My friends Novak 5.5 and 5.8 are slower in his Evader ST Pro with 6-cells than my BX Pro with Reedy Quad Mag and 7-cells.

RE: XXXT Brushless

A pal of mine dropped a Novak 5.5 into his XXX-T RTR in combo with a 6-cell generic 3300 NiMH pack with a 15T pinion and stock spur and raced my Evader BX with Reedy Quad Spec 19T, 7-cells (1900mAh...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

LOL, you think Tower would have used a better picture for that pinion gear; looks like it was left out in the rain for a few days.

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

That sounds right; 26/78 is more aggressive than 26/81 and much more so that 23/88.

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

Thanks. I've already installed Dirt Hawg I's on the rear stock rims and Dirt Hawg III's on the fronts. However, I feel I need more grip in the front (wider tire) and would like to try the stock ST...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

lighthorse,
Do all the linkages (tierods, etc) work with the ST's knuckels? Also, the graphite ST knuckles look really different but I assume they should have to work too (the picture makes them...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

My buddy dropped an 5800 into an XXX-T and it is nowhere close to my BX with Reedy 19T and 7-cells (even when I was using my stock 18T pinion). The speed difference between 6 and 7 cells IMO is...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

I use these on my reedy quad 19t with 7-cells and have no issues; they are gold plated and 13ga to boot (bigger quage than the ESC wires).

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

I've been toying with calculating the theoretical top end of my BX and can't find any info on no-load RPM for the Reedy Quad 19T, not even on the mfgr website...why is this?

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

I took everyone's advice and went with a Reedy Quad 19T motor. That alone had much more punch than the stock Pro's 15T Havoc. Combine this with a 7-cell pack and this thing flies. I recently tried...

RE: Intellispeed 12T ESC question

Thanks gentlemen. Duratrax responded in an earlier email and said mine was defective but I didn't think the tech really knew what he was talking about.

Any on-road car with Digger like simplicity/durability?

I got my very old Bolink Digger (the VERY ORIGINAL one) running the other day and it was a lot of fun. However, we had broken some of the plastic frame 20 yrs or so ago and they broke again (I...
