Triton and NiMH question

jason, what you'll discover w/ NiMHs is
that it's not incredibly unusual for them
to false peak. They have less of a
'end of charge bump' and things like
temperature and charge lead length can...

Help with switching Battery from Fut to JR

if it has a Futaba connector w/ the
little tab on it, all you need to do is
shave off the tab and a little more
misc. shaving to 'thin' it out a microscopic
amount.

You don't have to rewire...

Orbit Microlader Discharge

the default termination voltage for the
Orbit is 0.9v per cell.

You should check to see what it's really
doing.

New Charger from Fromeco Scale Avionics

for the cost of a connector on the
motherboard, why not make the
discharge function an 'add-in' card
or only put discharge on 1 of the ports?

Can someone explain this specification

it seems like a car pack charger w/
additional outputs to slow charge
a Tx and Rx.

No, I don't think it'll fast charge your
Tx & Rx packs.

Is A Battery Fully Charged When....

4.8v is the NOMINAL voltage. A fully
charged pack will have something
like 1.45v per cell right off the charger.

Much more than that and you just start
heating and ruining the battery.

charging times for NiMH using supplied system charger

like Red said, 22 hours but here is how
he got that number.......

1200/75 * 1.4

the 1.4 is the fudge factor to cover
losses during charge and other things.
It assumes 40% loss.

PC Power Supply not putting out 12V

11.92 is fine.

many people use 13.8v power supplies
(used on ham stuff etc) and it works fine
too.

All these chargers have a tolerance
for what they will accept and 11.92
will be fine.

Can someone tell me the best way & location to install a Gyro? GY502 on X-Cell ST 60.

As I recall, the plate on the XL ST glues on w/ GOOP.

You should mount the sensor and amp up front like David said.

Metric Digital Micrometers

The Mit. dig calipers (Digitmatic) are usually about $90-100.

Of course, you could get a $25 pair of Enco's and a $5 calculator
to convert inches to mm's.

Please need advice, do I need a new charger for a 1500 battery?

Disagreed. Batteries need a certain charge rate to really
get them going. Lower than that and you're essentially just
trickling them.

While C/10 is the standard slow charge, if your wallwart...
