RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Karyn,

To be totally honest, I crash a lot. I usually have a few crashes a week, mostly with the 450 but sometimes with the 600. It gets expensive and I can't believe my wife lets me purchase...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Hey All!

I'd thought I'd revive the post a bit. I hope you all have been getting some flight time in. I've been lucky to fly almost every day and I've been plopping down more money on helis like...

RE: Upgrade from Blade CX2 to T-Rex?

Please do NOT get a Blade CP before you get a TRex. You already know you have the heli bug. I suggest first getting a flight simulator. The CX is a totally tame beast and very few things you learn on...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Peter,

Yes I do like the "cleanliness" and convenience of electrics. I have found a flying spot near my work that I can take my TRex 600 out during my lunch break.

I did sell my Raptor 50...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Hey All,

Doug, My favorite dealers are GrandRC, ReadyHeli, RCHover and HeliDirect.

I just bought the new V2 which was an impulse buy. They had it at my LHS at a good price and I had just...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

I would recommend that you get the best deal for the money. EIther on this forum or another forum, you may want to look for good deals on some helicopters, some of which are ready to fly. You may...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Blade,

I would agree with Peter. As far as recommendations for a good 50 sized machine, I would say go with what everyone else around you fly. That way if you have any questions, you can pick...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Spread spectrum technology is a lot more stable than FM/PCM. I got some bad glitches causing some awfully expensive crashes. No radio glitches at all with my DX6 or DX7. It is rock solid. Just use it...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Jevans,

I suggest the DX-7. I had a DX-6 Spektrumized (and still do) as well as a Futaba 9CHPS but consolidated all my helis into 1 radio, the DX-7.

As far as Lipos, you could go for some...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Hello All!

Happy Holidays! I hope that everyone is at least getting a chance to spend some time on the SIM. I can truly say that finally getting a PC and G3 really helped me progress. I get to...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Gee, My Trex 600 and Lepton fly really nice. My TRex 450 flies like a dream! Wish I had a MX400 Pro!

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Hmmm. I'll see what I can do.

That's weird. I checked it this morning with my PC using IE 6 and it works fine. I'll try using YouTube also.

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Guys,

I'm not sure what's wrong with the video but it has been working on my computer with different browsers. You may need to update your quicktime plugin.

As for the 600, I love it. It...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Lloyd,

That is awesome! Is it hard to fly? Do you have to relearn how to fly?

Great work!

Keep the videos coming!

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

I think I've reached my quota for the year. Believe it or not, I have 3 TRex 450s (1 night flyer, 1 active STK frame and 1 back up). I have a Lepton, TRex 600, Raptor 50SE and Stratus. My BladeCP is...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

It's nice to hear from everyone.

Peter, the Lepton's canopy is plastic, similar to the raptor, but you can paint on it (unlike the Raptor). As long as you don't go for something difficult,...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

I've been a bad boy. It's my birthday and I've been itching to do some work on a heli. So here it is. Hope you like it. I flew 4 packs on it this past weekend and it's very fast. More...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Karyn,

Providing that at mid-collective stick, you've got zero degrees for your Raptor, then +8 and negative 12, one way that you can try to increase positive pitch would be to go into your...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Karyn,

Very nice!

I've just completed blinging out my Raptor 50. It's got silver metal everything on the head and tail. My T-Rex 600 is fully blinged (so far) with as much metal parts as I...

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

RCH,

I would NOT get the Honey Bee King. It is basically a Blade CP. The smaller the heli, the harder it will be to learn and fly. Most of us have graduated from the Blade CP. I will tell you,...
