RE: my cb and main gear on sav x do not line up

The problem you have,is do to the cb being to far back on the engine.you need to put a shim behind the flywheel to move everything forward a bit. I would also suggest that you put a washer behind the...

RE: Which one is the most recommendable?

I can only compare the Savage to the 2.5 T-Maxx. To me,the T-maxx is way to fragile, I am a basher and to me,the T-maxx just cant take the abuse that a Savage can...................Just my opinion

RE: Will this starter work on my Savage X?

I agree,go with a pull start. I broke the engine in and got it tuned, using the roto start, then I put the pull start on it.Once you get a good tune on it,it will fire up easily with the pull start.

RE: CLutchbell question???

what you need to do is,remove the clutch and the flywheel.now put a washer behind the flywheel before you re-assemble it.this will remove the slop and center up the cb to the spur gear.

RE: HELP US HELP YOU!

Its simple, just set the mesh correctly, have the correct tension on the slipper and make sure the cb is square to the spur gear.If you do all this, the stock plastic spur will be fine.

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?

well I think if you just drill two holes, it will be able to slide forward and be able to seperate and the pin will still come out.

Not knocking the way you did it , just trying to improve it.
