As long as it is not cutting out or bogging you are good to go.
Put the body on and richen the hsn up 1\8 of a turn.
If it still is hot your lsn might be off, richen it up to.

You want the motor to load up at idle.
If it will idle for 30 sec, and not load up it is to lean.
You should have to blip the throttle to keep it cleared out at idle.

MY 2.5 runs 260-280, depends on how you use the throttle, and how heavy your finger is.
I use traxxas fuel and love it, I like the smell.:D

If it is the 3.3 use the 3232x traxxas plug.

Get might be screwed all the way down, which is way it wont tighten, and it is not getting any fuel.

Have you turned it out like you are riching it. Turn it out 4 turns and see if it will start.

You should have alittle bit of play between the gears. Use a bit of paper between the gears and push them together.
Pull the paper out, that should be the right amount of mesh.

I agree, but they could update the truck with some things, like the radio box, and the 2.5r with a good pipe, or they should just drop
the platform, and put the 2.5r in the jato with some dirt...
