RE: Electric RC Boat

Well I got the Surge Crusher out today and I had a blast! Now I will say this is my first RC boat so I have nothing to base this against but I thought it was a pretty nice boat for the price.

RE: Electric RC Boat

Hello Ya'll

I see this thread has not had a post in a while but wanted to add. Like the original who asked about the boats, I also started with RC cars and trucks going from nitro to brushless....

RE: help with battery and charger!!

Well IMHO you are being cheap. ;) For charging LIPO you also really want a charger that has a balancer built in. As far as lights, I do not know all the chargers out there but most I think just...

RE: Redcat for Beginner

Like the first reponse on here one of my friends who got a Redcat was not to impressed with it.

Others as will I are suggesting towards the Traxxas Stampede or maybe even a Rustler. Tons of...

RE: 5000 Turnigy pack

Sorry to hear it man. I have had good luck with the Turnigy packs from HK. You probably just got unlucky and they had a bad batch of which you got two of them.

Just go have a frosty beverage...

RE: Who's Racing Slashes around Houston, TX?

I have a Blitz but the shop I go to has a fair number of Slash fanatics. Every Sunday at noon they set up a track and people bring their R/C's out there for some fun racing. Granted it is all out...

RE: Short course truck.

Here is my one sided opinion for the Blitz as this is the only short course truck I have.

Got the truck and have been very happy so far. I did not get the brushless though and wish I did as...

RE: What to buy?

As many others have said the Ruslter XL-5 would be what I would suggest for a young boy along with more batteries. I have a 10 YO boy who has one and he loves it. I have a VXL and it is way to fast...

RE: Foam tire removal

Just put some vaseline on the sidewalls of the tires so you can paint the rim and then once they dry, wipe the vaseline off the tire. Granted this is if you are spray painting the rims. For the...

RE: HPI Sprint 2 Flux Opinions

Glad to have helped and I do hope you enjoy the car.

I do agree with Hpidriver though and do not think cutting out the bottom side of the car is good. The back side cut out is what I did and...

RE: SPRINT PROBLEM

If you want to see if it is the wheels making it vibrate, take all of them off and do the same test. If it does not wobble then porbably one of your tires is mounted offset or maybe the tire foam...

RE: HPI Sprint 2 Flux Opinions

I'll give my opinion thus far of the Sprint 2 Flux. Now I will preface this with I have not had 50 different touring / drifting road cars so this is only based on my experience so far with this car....

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

The Flux does come with deans connectors.

The connector on the battery is a Female deans.

I got some Turnigy 5000mAh 2S 20C Lipos and they have been great. Has great speed, good torque,...

RE: Good place to cut a cooling hole into my shell?

This is physics. You need to give a channel for the incoming air to exit or else it will tend to go downward (Path of least resistance) to exit the body and may not even be going to the motor or...

RE: 7.4v or 11.1v lipo?

I will say after using both a 7V and 11V LIPO that although the 11 / 3S can be fun it really is way more power than you need....or at least for me it has been. You end up tuning the ESC to work with...

RE: esc makes high pitched noise

Did you calibrate the ESC? Your instructions should tell you how to do this but it is normally required when first putting in a new Traxxas ESC.

You also should make sure your ESC is not set...

RE: Rustler, Slash or What??

You are correct that a higher Center of Gravity will make the Stampede more unstable when turning at speed.

One thing I would say though is that you are looking at some good vehicles....but...

RE: Stupid Laws That May Affect Our Hobby

The one thing we should ALL get from this though is that we need to VOTE!!! Make sure you do not remain quiet regarding these things. Really this is such a small thing regarding RC engines but the...

RE: problem with nitro rustler steer servo

I know you said it was all stock but have to ask, is the radio and reciever stock or did you install one?

Many times if the radio is aftermarket there is a thing called EPA (End Point...

No offence taken but you are assuming. OK, maybe I should have stated that yes I have used other LIPOs and in my experience they have been the ones to underperform. (ThunderPower as well as...

RE: What is the best RC car for under $275?

I would also say quite honsetly look at the big picture. A two wheel drive stadium style like the Firestorm or even the Rustler you can get to go well over 40 MPH but those also have some drawbacks...

Why the hate of MaxAmps?

The internet and forums can be a great place for knowledge but it can also be a great place for misinformation. Seems to me like so many see a post and start to "Bandwagon" it without actually having...
