RE: Don't waste your money on upgrading your FG

RE: Most reliable fun engine?

Why would you ruin your first engine? I had a novarossi redhead when I was 12 years old and it ran fine.

P.S I've since owned OS and now a tiny PB aero diesel.

RE: Most reliable fun engine?

It doesn't have to be a budget engine. As long as I get what I pay for and it doesn't die after something stupid like 12 gallons! That's not and engine, it's a disposable firework.

RE: Strongest large buggy?

They did with NovaRossi. Well 60ish, or whatever. I didn't have GPS tracking or light gates back then ;)

RE: Strongest large buggy?

Hellya, yes it was :)

The buggy wasn't very competitive as it was too heavy, although rather strong. It was the xi2 variant. Lighter models superceeded it, namely the X3, plus kyosho's burns -...

RE: Strongest large buggy?

Maybe they don't build them like they used to then. I remember crashing an ancient PB mustang 1/8 into a fence at 65mph-ish with no problems at all. (Batteries fell out of rx holder). That was made...

RE: Diff. between .21 and .28

quote; "the Nova will last 10+ U.S. gallons"

Do nova, or rb for that matter, make an engine which will last longer than this?!

RE: Largest Capacity Fuel Tank

Look at modifying tanks made by Sullivan and Dubro online. These are for aeroplanes so you may need a different cap etc.

Most reliable fun engine?

I'm thinking of getting an 1/8 buggy again, for the first time in a decade. Last time I had nova rossi red head .21 power. I didn't have any problems with it at the time and it sounded good. I will...

RE: O.S. L.A. .10; anyone like?

But where will it end. A ten is no longer 1/2A anyway, so if your going to get a .15, you may as well get a Nova Rossi .21  :D

RE: How hard is it to fly 1/2a??

Do you mean self adhesive foam pads? Just stick the servo to the fuse side - no need for screws and grommets to save weight

RE: 1/2A Diesel Engines?

The small enya's are not made to the same standards as the larger ones. I heard that the 06 has a conrod stamped out of sheet metal!

For proper build quality see PB. Paw look ok too, plus of...

RE: weight v power

Flew the plane today. It felt so different this time. It glides nice and level and seems very powerful now. I can't believe a little weight loss can make so much difference. The plane is very...

RE: Tomboy FF/RC

I'd rather have a $20k hifi and $2k plane for his budget! At least the stereo won't crash and burn. What a waste :O

RE: 12 dollar FM 5chan mico RX sale at HL with Crystal!

I guess you get what you pay for.

Overall I'm always amazed how cheap everything is in the US, compared to here in the UK. US companies seem happy to add a tiny percentage for the profit mark...

RE: weight v power

Thanks for the very detailed reply. I have ordered some more props of both pitch so I can fly it and see the results.

When I launched perhaps I didn't use much force at all. Next time I'll try...

RE: Tomboy FF/RC

There's something rather appealing about keeping things very simple. I guess this is about as pure as it gets. Let us know how the flying goes.

I was thinking last night how mad some people are...
