RE: tail motor problem...

I think anyway you do it you are not going to be able to close the case again unless you can get those pins back down. You could use the female end of servo extension (cut the other end off) and take...

RE: tail motor problem...

What method did you use for the brushless converion? I soldered a new connector to the throttle channel to use for the brushless ESC. The pins of the throttle channel from the receiver still need to...

RE: Dual tail motor mod

That should only be an issue if you made a mistake and connected a positive wire to a negative motor terminal which is connected to the case. I suppose with the dual motor mod using an aluminum...

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

I've also had that bushing pop out from time to time. Pop it back in and put a drop of CA on it. It will keep running. Make sure you just glue the rim and don't get any on the shaft. It is a common...

RE: Dual tail motor mod

Mine are in parallel. This has the benefit of sharing the load (voltage, current) evenly over both motors. The motors stay cooler and last longer. Also, If one goes out, the other will keep the tail...

RE: Dual tail motor mod

For parallel connections leave the first motor hooked up like the stock setup - red wire to positive and black wire to negative. For the second motor use two jumper wires, positive to positive and...

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

If you've broken any landing gear, use a leg off them. Cut it off with a Dremel cutoff wheel, drill out the old tail support (a Dremel and a small bit work very well) and glue the new one in with CA....

RE: Blade CP inverted flying

When flying in idle up mode, neutral pitch is center left stick. Positive pitch is up and negative pitch is down on the stick. There is no off for the motor when in idle up. You need to move the left...

RE: vert tail support

A small drill bit in a Dremel worked well for me. The bit went for the carbon fiber rather than the plastic and turned it to powder. It was quite easy.

RE: Blade CP: blade pitch varies with elevator input

Well, I finally solved it. I disabled the motors and carefully watched the servos. The rear left servo was going to a different center point depending on its direction of travel. I replaced it and...

Blade CP: blade pitch varies with elevator input

I have a Blade CP which I have flown a lot and can loop, roll, etc. It has developed a problem which I cannot resolve. I have the Bell-Hiller upgrade on it. I cannot maintain a hover. The pitch is...

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

The red light just means that the main ESC is at full power. It is normal and should be full red when the left stick is near or at full throttle.

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

Do you have good batteries in the transmitter (if using the stock transmitter)? Just guessing here. Have you moved the receiver antenna? Maybe the antenna wire is broken? It sounds like radio...

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

There is no one servo controlling blade pitch on the Blade CP. All three move in combination to control blade pitch, elevator, and aileron control. Is it only the front servo acting up on your Blade?...

RE: Head Dampening on CP

Buy them separately. Get the mixer arm set and the Bell-Hiller grips. The two will be about $15. Use your own spindle and bearings. The complete set includes the spindle and bearings which you...

RE: Head Dampening on CP

I'm probably wrong then, but if you want better response I still think you will be better off with the Bell-Hiller head. I have used the dampening shims (as many as three on each side) and didn't...

RE: Head Dampening on CP

The head dampening shims do just what their name implies. They dampen the movement of the head to make it less responsive. It you want to increase the responsiveness of the head you need to get the...

Blade CP glitches after brushless upgrade

A friend and I upgraded our Blades to brushless main motors (Himax 2015 4100kV, 20 amp E-flight ESC). Great power but we get random, frequent glitches. I'm using the stock receiver with a servo...

RE: Blade CP. Nicked a blade today

The only other thing you might want to do is rebalance the blades since you added glue to one of them. That might get rid of the vibration.

Check this out - Blade CP Pro

Found this on another forum. Coming in June. It would be nice to be able to get the helicopter without a transmitter for those of us that use our own radios. I wonder if they would then have a...

RE: Micro Thunder Power TP-425 Lithium Charger?

You may want to check the voltage or current from your power supply. Mine will alarm when the source voltage is too low.

RE: Blade CP Main Motor Upgrade

I was able to turn mine without loosening the backplate. I used a pair of snap-ring pliers in the two holes in the backplate. Don't go too far or the current draw will go up and the motor will...

RE: Blade CP Main Motor Upgrade

I am using the stock motor with 9 tooth pinion but change the timing to increase performance. I rotate the end plate of the motor about 1/8" to 3/16" clockwise. I can get the head up to 2500 rpm with...

RE: Blade CP Main Motor Upgrade

The upgrade motors from Eflight are identical to the stock motor. The only difference is the pinion.
