I was up flying today...

And I looked down at the club field and saw a full parking lot and a couple planes buzzing around. Granted I was about 3000 feet up so I could barely see them, but it made me smile :D I love this...

RE: Let's play the "What was he thinking?" game.

Top Flite Contender!! :)

Well I purchased the Contender about a month ago, along with pretty much everything I need to finish it. I ran into a setback when I lost my building surface, so right now I have the tail feathers...

RE: Progressing to a turbine?

If I were to build my Contender a little heavy do you think that might help a little with my progression? It has a flap on it, just no retracts, and I'll see if I can do that servo delay on the...

Just for fun, anyone actually log your time?

I was thinking the other day that it would be kind of fun to get a logbook for my RC flying, kind of keep track of how much I actually fly. :) Anyone do it?

RE: Progressing to a turbine?

Yeah I was leaning towards a prop jet for my next plane, any ones you would recommend that are clean, fast, and challenging flyers?

RE: In the rain flies

Translation software is funny stuff! Anyways it rains here a lot in winter and I've thought about flying in the rain too. If you waterproof the aircraft real well it wouldn't seem like a problem at...

Sharp down elevator and opposite rudder will get you out of it no problem. If not consider moving the cg just a little bit forward.

RE: hole in wing

If you just want to fly it use shipping tape or duct tape. If you want it to look good also just make a patch out of the same color monokote and iron it on there.

Had fun with takeoffs and landings today!

Well I decided to work on short takeoffs and precision landings, so I lined my Eagle up on the starting line on the track and had it off the ground before I reached the next one! (I think it's 5...

RE: I need a REAL second plane.

I flew a Zagi for a while so I'm kind of used to the neutral stability issue. I checked out the cougar and the shrike, but ultimately I decided on a Contender. Hopefully it will turn out to be a...
