I’m pretty sure Tamiya is a lacquer based paint, lacquer does not play well with almost any other paint. It doesn’t matter if it’s solvent or water based.

Looks great Todd. Nice choice on the paint scheme too, the unit I retired from, CT Air Guard. Too bad we have C-130s now, wish we still had P-51s!

I would love to see a company making Warbird full wood kits be able to survive but I think it will be difficult. There’s a reason all the kit companies went out of business, it’s cheaper to get an...

Are you sure it only weighs 20lbs? Seems awful light for a Yellow Jug. Mine has a G45 and flys really well but not a speed demon. Not sure how the DLE35 compares to a G45.

Keep it simple, just use something like the great planes balancer or similar. I’ve been using that for GS Warbirds for years and have had zero CG issues.

We can agree to disagree on Robart gear. I think they are junk and the design flaws are just unacceptable. Take a look at the design on the TF FW-190, total failure of a design. Has nothing to do...

Definitely go with Sierra, totally different league than Robart. Robart are junk and a portion of them, like yours, have design flaws.

I am using Futuba so the setup might be a little
