Help me choose an engine for Lanier 30% Edge 540.

I went with the 60. All up weight under 18lbs. The additional weight of the 80 (prop, more gas, muff....) will significantly reduce the 3d envelope of the plane. I already have the larger planes...

I'm using a 28x10 on a zdz 120. Awesome! Pulls like a tractor very quiet, the best prop I have found for my combo. I'm sure they are expensive, found this un at the last swap meet for $20.

Yes, you need a regulator for the RX. I have been using the panasonic 1630ma li-ion cells and MPI vr in all my rc stuff for over a year. No problems so far. TX and RX for giant scale to helis.

Just flew my first float plane. A .40 size trainer with a .61fx on geebee floats.

The first dead stick, plane is floating toward opposite shore aided by the wind. I see the plane rotate forward...

Thanks for the responses.

I have reichmuth ignition on a 75cc poulan conversion. The motor threw the prop off in the air. Back on the ground, it will start and run 10-20 seconds and quit.

I found a product called "muffler mender". Its used for plugging leaks in exhaust systems on autos. Looks promising.
