Thats hot! Motor running 170F+

Just finished building my slash 4x4, running a Novak 5.5HV/Tekin RX8. Tekin has stock settings and the gearing is light (14/54). After 20-25mins on a 3S I am getting temps around 170+ and its winter...

Well, what would be better? Build the HK450 with your parts, adding an extra battery and using this controller (dont want an expensive one just yet)...

Lots of input which is great. I dont want something to big, something for outside the house etc and parks. It doesn't have to be 3D as it will most probably take me a few years before I am anywhere...

Its for running 6S, The 20T was much faster for me. Sure you havent got them mixed around? Says in the manual if running 6S you should use the 25T pinion other wise no warranty is covered.

I just dropped $800 aud on a brand new flux. I came home and soldered on all my new connectors to my batteries and charged them (brand new batts) plugged them in and went for a spin, was going great...

I have 10 zippys. Not one problem. I bet there was a user error but maybe a QC issue. They don't just explode, there has to be something internally or it was damaged. Did it catch fire or explode?...
