Gary had .48 p/s on Monday, Sept. 9. Back in the day, guys would run the .48 p/s in an engine so they could race C Stock Tunnel in NAMBA.

If you are not concerned about racing a stock Red Head .45 ci, Gary Preusse has new .48 ci piston/sleeves that will replace a .45 ci piston/sleeve. Gary doesn't do e-mail, but his son, David, could...

Open the needle valve 4 full turns, set the carb at wide open, remove the glow plug, place a finger over the carb, and spin the fly wheel. Raw fuel should be coming out of the glow plug hole. If...

RE: Newbie and his new prop!

It is not uncommon to run 50% nitro fuel in .18 size marine engines.

RE: Dumas Hawk picco .21

You can make rear sponsons from insulation foam, 1/16" plywood. That boat was designed to run with rear sponsons.

You could run a .28 in the boat. The only problem might be the engine...

RE: 21 Tunnel Talk

I am running 11 oz. of lead in my VS1 - 1.5 oz. in each sponson tip, 4 in front of the radio box and 4 in back of the radio box.

The O.S. 21 Outboard will not pull a X445 and a X642 might be...

RE: AQUACRAFT'S NEW MISS VEGAS U-18

The OS 18 CVR MX will drop right into the motor mount. The pull start should work fine. Personally, I prefer using a starting belt and my electric starter.

RE: 21 Tunnel Talk

Here's photos from the back and bottom of my new boat. I'm calling it the TS 45.

RE: Requesting advice on completing Sk Daddle 40 kit

I would recommend you consider spending the money to upgrade the drive system to a flex cable drive system. However, the cost of that might be more than you paid for the boat.

A good source...

RE: prop help international hobbies formula 402 twin

Are you planning to start one engine backwards to get left and right prop rotation or are the outdrives reversed?

RE: 21 Tunnel Talk

The O.S. 21 is a better engine - it holds all the 21 tunnel class records.

But, some guys still run K&Bs. Just not the guys winning national championships.

The Short Answer - No.

But, I've never been very good at just giving a "Short Answer." The only plans I have are on paper and I had to pay to have them copied. I also invested a considerable...

RE: K&B Outboard

Old JD needs to read posts more carefully. I guess the stuff about the Hot Shot Sprint threw me off. The Hot Shot Sprint 7.5 wood kit might be worth considering. I guess Dumas still sells...

RE: K&B Outboard

You are correct about the starting direction. A good prop for that engine is an Octura X440 or a Grim Racer 40/53. The Dumas Hot Shot Sprint wood kit is a good choice if you like to build. The...

RE: help id boat

What something is worth and what you might be able to get for it are two different values. New this set up cost at least $400 - $500. If you could get 1/2 that you would probably be doing well....

Looks like a Sundowner Outboard Hydro. Back in the day they were very poular in SoCal. That's going to be one loud engine with the straight exhaust.

RE: Help identify my hydro

I think it is a Steve Muck Tunnel. I had one way back in the day. Traded it for a Pro Line 5-channel aircraft radio system at a RAMS Hobby Show held at the SeaTac Red Lion. We used to have some...
