The OS 18 CVR MX will drop right into the motor mount. The pull start should work fine. Personally, I prefer using a starting belt and my electric starter.

I would recommend you consider spending the money to upgrade the drive system to a flex cable drive system. However, the cost of that might be more than you paid for the boat.

Looks like a Sundowner Outboard Hydro. Back in the day they were very poular in SoCal. That's going to be one loud engine with the straight exhaust.
