RE: Another

Ok, I am going to go really "NEWB" here. What is the strut? The interior wood braces, or something on the back of the boat? I see all kinds of things that I could call a strut on this boat.

I...

RE: Another

A little digging on the web, and it looks VERY VERY similar to the Viper 50" Apache. I sent them an email to get some measurements of the engine bay opening so I can see if it matches their mold.

RE: Another

I noticed on their website that their hulls had labels...mine doesn't appear to. It could be under the fuel tank, but it looks like the fuel tank is epoxied in, so no moving it. I am doubting that...

Another "What kind of boat is this?" thread!

I just picked this boat up yesterday from a guy who was hard up for $$$$. I think the price was VERY fair, but that's not important. I was told it's a 48" Aeromarine hull, but I can't find anything...

RE: Mounting a .18 in a Super Nitro Rally SUCCESS & Video

I hate to do it, but it's for sale. I dug this post out of the graves because I had such a good response to this unique build. But it's time to move the SNR onto a new home. I only drove it the one...

RE: help i keep breaking spur gears.. know where to get metal ones help!!!1

If you are tearing up spur gears, something is wrong. Plain and simple. If you go to a metal spur gear, something else down the drive train will take the abuse and break. Beefing up a plastic part...

RE: Mounting a .18 in a Super Nitro Rally

RE: Mounting a .18 in a Super Nitro Rally

Thanks for the compliment. And yes you are right, I just remembered that to get the TZ in my revos I have to cut the drive shaft shorter. A TZ would be a direct drop in for the SNR...and CRAZY STUPID...

RE: Mounting a .18 in a Super Nitro Rally

I am a little worried about the spur gear...but I just can't get it any closer. Hopefully with the right mesh they will be ok not lined up completely. I run the OS 18TZ in two of my three revos...and...

RE: Mounting a .18 in a Super Nitro Rally

Pictures as promised. I had to do a TINY bit of dremeling to get the engine mesh just right. Not even enough that you can tell when the screws are in place. I think it came out good. I am just...

RE: Mounting a .18 in a Super Nitro Rally

Turns out the XXX-NT mount is going to do the trick. It's not a PERFECT fit...but it's close enough! I am going to have to not use the tapered washers on the underside of the car as they take away...

Yes the stock engine mounts directly to the chassi. However they make engine mounts for engines that don't have the "flat bottom" like the stocker. There are two...
