RE: Raven or TREX 600

kraffty

If you love your Hawk Pro's you will love the Raven if/when you step into the 50 size class - Some describe it as a smaller Predator rather then a biger Hawk, and I have to agree. I has...

RE: Raven or TREX 600

Yes, the Raven is older then some of the newer and far more expensive helis on the market (e.g. T600N, Vibe 50 and RJX 50) but it has a number of features and systems that these are in some ways...

RE: Would this make a good first cp heli?

Here is a package deal in the same price range that has a great 30 size heli, great motor, proven radio and proven gyro system.

I think you would be much better off with it.

RE: kinetic 50

The Kinetic 50 is made for Helimax by Century and is much of a 50 sized version of their 30 sized Hawk Pro. You will find the Kinetic 50 to be a great entry level 50 size heli at its' price.

If...

RE: Wamt to upgrade my servos...what to get ?

The 9252's will do tick tocks effortlessly on my Predator 90, so they should have no problem handling the loads of your 50.

They are awesome on my Raven.

RE: New Century Swift RTF, Opinions...

A fellow had one out at an event I attended last week - it flew for over 6 minutes on one charge! He let me have at it, and I must say, it will make a very good trainer heli. The low head speed that...

RE: Heli max Kinetic 50

Your Kinetic 50 is a great heli, specially for the price - the gear ratio and blade length is best for use with the 50 size engine. But if you set your throttle curve to properly match the loads...

RE: Looking for scale body? Where?

A lot of the fuselage size application relate to the scale dimensions, relative to the length of the tail booms - 30's being shorter then 50's. So I would assume a thirty size would be better for you...

RE: Assembling a .30 Heli

That is a great combination, but if you have never flown a nitro R/C heli before, I would strongly suggest that you first fly it as a |pod and boom heli and get it (an you) all set up and flying well...

RE: Century Predator Gasser v/s MA Spectra G v/s Vario Benzin Acrobatic

The DX7 can easily fly a gas heli - but if you use a governor you may be limited to either a one gyro gain or not be able to turn governor off...many fly this way.

But you would definitely need...

RE: CN2220A where to get one??

The mainshaft thrust bearings are of not much consequence on helis in the 30 to 50 class range, as the specs of these radial bearings are such that they can easily handle the weights and g-forces of...
