Come to Sugg Field tomorrow. It would be great to fly with you again!

Brian, I'll bet those boys of yours must be over 6' by now. Those are two of the nicest kids back then and I'm sure you have much to be proud of now. Poke 'em in the arm for me.

Brian,

I am sorry to hear about Dan. He was a sparkplug and kept some of us (me) on our toes.

I fly in an electric Park Flyer club in Holly Springs. The club name is too long to type out but...

Alive but all electric now

Hey Y'all,

I got thrown our of my old glow and gas club and the only people who will play with me now don't make noise and smell good - pretty much.

I still concentrate on the smaller models...

RE: Leroy Cox was the father of electric flight!

Tsk, tsk, I too am no fan of Reedies - gimme a TD every time ('specially them .010s and .020s). I break out my Sharkface and TresFace once or twice every year just to make sure I don't forget the...

RE: Carolina Crew Alert!

What a Great Idea! Let me check with SWMBO.

"Sweetums, Sugar Pie, Honey Baby, Love Bucket, can I go play with the Carolina 1/2A Crew on Saturday? Pretty please?"

. . .

"Yes dear, I...

RE: Off-topic: Am I wrong here?

Years and years ago, BI (Before Internet, etc.) I exchanged several actual letters with a person in England. He expressed interest in a K&B Greenhead I had and I agreed to swap it for some diesel...

RE: throttled COC TD 010 on a scaled down blink Q

Oh all right already. I do not add extra weight to every model I build - it is a last resort. Now don't any of youse tell me that you've never added weight to a model - I just wouldn't believe it!...

RE: throttled COC TD 010 on a scaled down blink Q

Jasper,

I'm glad you're inspired to continue with the Blink. I have two suggestions/comments; (1) the original design (that he flew at one of Rog's events) is pretty good, I don't think I'd...

RE: throttled COC TD 010 on a scaled down blink Q

I agree with C'Pigg, you don't need no steenkin' throttle on a Blink. But since you have one - go for it. I recall the last Blink I saw - I saw it better on the ground than in the air. Fast little...

RE: Change of pace.

Given that I'm trapped here due to a "Wintry Mix" I will waste your time with my conjecture about Ken Willard's NATS win . . . Is it something to do with sailplanes?

Given that his designs were...

RE: K&B Infant .020

Dan,

I had one of these little beauties let's say . . . um . . . maybe . . . was it fifty years ago?! Holy moley!

My mother got rid of all my modelling stuff (burning my old Flying Models...

Yes, I can identify with the importance of timing - I'd like to type some more - but it's time for me to take my medications.

RE: Change of pace.

Nope, Maybe I used the wrong term (Regulator) but what I have boosts the 3.7 volts to 5.0. For what its worth I have a 1S charger that works off 3S lipos and can do four at a time so I can keep...

RE: Change of pace.

For my 1/2As this past season I have used 1S lipos and a cheap regulator from Hobby King. For as little as I used Nickel-based batteries in the past I rarely got two seasons from a receiver pack....
