RE: 3 And 4+ Cyl. Engines ?

In line tripple 2 stroke gas in a P-51 or 5/7/9 cylinder gas radial in an appropriate plane = no sweeter sound. P-51 far the cheaper solution.

RE: 3w 240 twin

I had an EVO300 four cylinder an I liked the Bolly 36x14 and so did the 3W275 twin. Depending on the prop, start out with a 34x10 to 36x12.

RE: KOLM 4 STROKE GAS ENGINES

The in-line tripple 4-stroke sounds very nice. The coolest engine I've ever heard was an in-line tripple 2-stroke. That was at Joe Nall and I think is was in a P-51. Hearing that thing warm up was...

RE: Getting back into the hobby

I'd get a DW foamie http://www.dwfoamies.com/. I love my DW foamies and the new 40" in dEPPron Fusion are great and strong foamies.

Weatronic Clever?

Has anybody seen or heard of the new 6ch Weatronic Clever Rx? Is it small enough to be suitable for foamies (38"ws, 12-14oz size)? I'm expecting my 14MZ module and Rx very soon and would like to fly...

RE: Composite Arf vs. Krill models

I've had both, seven or eight Comp-ARFs and one Krill, I prefer the Comp-ARF of the two.

RE: Su-do-khoi 60 tank?

I built and flew one of those many years ago with a YS.91AC. Great flying and hovering plane, sold it to Eddie Hill.

RE: Gas Weed Eater to Glow Conversion-What is this?

It has more power on methanol. You can buy straight methanol for around $5 per gallon, then mix in about 4% oil, this engine doesn't need much oil. Converting back to gas will probably cost the same...

RE: 2-cylinder vs 4-cylinder

I don't care what Dick says, how old he is or how much less he doesn't know than me lol. If you take two 2-stroke engines of similar displacement, one a boxer twin, the other a boxer quad, the...

RE: weatronic 2.4 Dual FHSS RC systems launched

Who cares what it looks like? If people notice it on you transmitter (not looking at your plane) maybe you should spend more time at home on the simulator.

If it's the best link between you and...

RE: First Mintor 3M 110cc engine in North America

I just picked up a 3M Mintor 150B4 with ignitions, I desperately need some instructions, heck, I don't even know how to hook up fuel and the remote needle to this thing. I also need to make a header...

BAF Power System

I see a BAF in my near future, just have to sell a couple of small foamies to a friend to finance it. I would like to go with a Scorpion 3020-12 and Commander 55A setup, and that would cost $130.00...

RE: EVO80TT and DiablotinXXL build.

JEFFRO503,

Sorry, but I can't offer much info on the 80TT. I had three flights with the DiaXXL/EVO80TT and something happened on all three. On maiden the main wheels came off he he, just skidded...

RE: Composite-Arf 33% Gee Bee R2 - First Flight - Pics - Videos - L@@K

The attached is from page 17 in the 2.6m 260 instructions manual from Caomp-ARF's website. I am sure all the other manuals from planes with similar single control horns say the same.

RE: Composite-Arf 33% Gee Bee R2 - First Flight - Pics - Videos - L@@K

RichardGee,
In post 71 you are showing that you are using ball links on the single control links on elevators. I know that with all the aerobatic models from Composite-ARF, this is strongly NOT...

RE: Dad's or Aero Express Trailer

I built my own trailer from a Harbor Freight 4' x 8' kit. I have decided just to stick with my toy-hauler (to much hassle switching planes between 2 trailers) so I have mine for sale. I doubt it...

RE: Having a problem proforming the elevator maneuver

Sounds like CG is to far forward. It is also often necessary to add a slight bit of power which helps to keep the tail down. When the airplane is in the elevator, both wings are stalled. The airplane...

RE: w to gas planes

How big a gas plane you should jump to depends largely on your experience, not your flying skills and how well you think you are going to fly this airplane. I see it again and again people who can...

You should have a manual switch between the ignition battery and the ignition. If this switch has a charge jack you can also charge the battery this way. If you have an additional remote ignition...

Also, the low US$ value. I'm surprised foreign (especially European) engines aren't more expensive than they are. Try to go to a European website and price 3W engines in Euro, even without their VAT,...

RE: EVO 300 torquerolling

The EVO website still shows the EVO300Competition though for €3,130.00.

I think there is a 1lb difference in weight from the magnesium to the competition version of the EVO300.

RE: EVO 300 torquerolling

I have an EVO300Magnesium in my Bill Hempel 50% Edge540, and that engine goes for $3,800.00 about 1 year ago. With the falling US$ it could be more now. After running a 4-cylinder engine in one...
