RE: OPS .21 ?

I have an OPS .12 in my XXX-NT Adam Drake version and it's a great engine. From what I can tell, OPS was an Italian company that went out of business. They were well known for their marine engines....

RE: Transistor broke off servo

That's not a transistor. As noted above, a transistor has 3 wires. A transistor is essentially a solid state switch. That appears to be a capacitor. I'm amazed the servo still works, although a...

RE: Gimme the low down on Blue thunder fuel

I've run the 20% Sport formula in a Sportwerks .21, Sportwerks .26, OPS .12, Duratrax .18, HPI K4.6 and an STS D21T without any tuning problems. The one-way bearing in the .26 and the K4.6 do slip...

RE: STS ENGINES?

I am in the process of breaking in a D21T (original version), and they are a bear to break in. I've heard of some problems with cranks breaking. My guess is that the pinch is so tight with these...

RE: Aaarrgghh - This is driving me mad!!!

I assumed that you were still breaking in the engine because you said it was a new car. If the engine has been broken in and has run properly in the past, I would look first at the clutch, as noted...

RE: Aaarrgghh - This is driving me mad!!!

I disagree with all of the assessments, particularly if this is a new engine. Running it at wide open throttle with it too lean for even a brief time during break in can damage the piston and...

RE: Turmoil Throttle/Brake Servo issue

It sounds like you need to adjust the brake linkage. Each brake (front and back) has a different rod with a thumbwheel to adjust it. I loosen them so that they never engage, then set my throttle...

RE: Cheapest RTR Stadium Truck

I tend to agree with the comment about used engines being iffy. I've purchased all but one of our five trucks off of eBay. Only my Losi XX-NT Adam Drake 1 had an engine that I'm still using as is. ...

RE: just got my new truggy hot bodies

OUCH! Sorry to hear about the leg. King races are on the first Saturday of each month and Monkey Bottom is on the second Saturday. MB is a more technical track, with more turns and fewer jumps. ...

This is the most active Lightning Stadium forum I know about:

RE: Cheapest RTR Stadium Truck

Are you looking at nitro?

If so, Nitro Evader

It's $250 minus $25 discount for a net of $225 plus shipping.

RE: Sportwerks Turmoil Engine mount problem.

That doesn't make sense. Have you removed the mounts from the chassis? If they are not mounted, it should be easy to slide the mounts over the nuts. Make sure the nuts have the flat sides turned...

RE: Sportwerks v2 .26 opinions

I have one in my son's Mayhem. It's a great engine for the price. It breaks in easy, tunes easy, maintains a tune and is very powerful. It has the same internals as the Mach 427 and perhaps some...

RE: nitro duratrax evader problems?? help fast!!

Did you buy the Evader in the past 90 days? If so, Duratrax will fix it for free. If not, take it to your local hobby store and ask them to rebuild the diff. They'll probably do it for free if you...

RE: nitro duratrax evader problems?? help fast!!

Don't give up yet. Read through the Evader thread. There are several possibilities. Is the slipper tight? If not, is the diff adjusted properly? There are instructions in the Evader thread. ...

RE: how much is a used hyper 8 pro worth?

I agree about 50% for the kit and electronics. I wouldn't pay 50% for a used engine unless I had a lot of confidence that the former owner really took care of it and it was a top-end brand. I own...

That's interesting. Someone in another thread posted a response from Spektrum that their failsafe was only for loss of signal. I've never tried to see whether it will work with low batteries. I'll...

RE: help my new spektrum wont work

Hi Bob! Actually, he might want to use the aftermarket fail-safe, but he should bind the receiver first. Plug everything in except the fail-safe. Bind the receiver per the manual (With the...

Look no further than the Hobbico Quick Field Charger:

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

I don't know about the engine, but a 12 tooth clutch bell will be slower at the top end than a standard 13 tooth. If you want top end, you need more teeth on the bell, not less. However, you...

RE: Is this piston toast?

It had nothing to do with dirt. I run a dual filter and clean it at least daily, if not more often when the track is really dusty. I use good filter oil on the inner filter and WD40 on the outer...
