I carved the aerials from balsa wood.
I covered them with film.
Attached them with rare earth magnets.

We had a great time with the ASM Cessna 182 this weekend at the "Wings Over Arizona" event.
Saturdays weather was good only to about 11:30am befor the rain came.
Sunday was better but got socked in...

I made them.
I think it is strange ASM did not make anteneas for this model.
I think this is one ofe the most recognizeable features of the Cessna 182.

Got the flight video from yesterday!
"Spock" the sock monkey did a great job of piloting!
By the way, this was also his first solo.

Yea! We will need someone to video the flights.
I seem to always be the only one with a camera at times.
I never figured a way to fly and video at the same time.
That would be cool, you could be...

The only lights I have that are LED are the  two front headlights and tail light are rechargeable flashlights, $9 each.
The red and green tip lights are 12v automotive $8<div>The strobe lights with...

I drilled down from the top of the verticle stabilizer then punched through the
ribs with a push rod and fed the wire through into the rear fuse half.
It only took a few minutes

I loaded up the cowl with all my esc, motor, motor batteries, reciver batteries and light system batteries, switches and 1 1/2 pound of weights.

Geesh! I just weighed my finished ASM Cessna at 30 pounds.
Anyone have any opinions?

If anyone is interested, I only have about 5 of these models left.
After that they are all gone.
I am sorry but because of the size of these huge boxes, thay can only be shipped within the United...

Up until today, all mentioned here is theory and opinion.
When the day comes, the first part of the next flight will be to take it up to a safe altitude.
From there it can be evaluated.
