RE: 2.4GHz known issues, ALL manufactures

Looking at it logically and objectively - Spektrum has been available for quite a bit longer, with almost zero competition from the other major manufacturers, so it's no surprise that there are more...

RE: 2.4GHz known issues, ALL manufactures

A of mine and I tried Spektrum modules in our 9C's. I flew a faomy with mine a couple times and had no problem. But I flew a 40 size electric with it, which range checked fine on the ground, but...

Central Ohio electric Fly-In - June 2009

The Licking County Radio Control Club will be hosting our electric fly-in on June 13-14 this year. We were rained out the last two years, so we're hoping mother nature will smile on us this year....

Anyone know anything about the Exclusiv Eodelbau 2.48M (98 inch) Katana? Like how well it flys compared to other Katana's, or how well it flys compared to other planes of the type and aize?

It's...

RE: Alpha 4 resale value?

I searched on EBay and on here, and I couldn't find anything on EBay, or anything recent on here. I have at least one that I should probably sell since I am totally electric powered these days. But...

RE: Stay tuned, Extreme Aircraft Extra 300 on the way

Jeti Spin is the Kat's meow...

Maiden was yesterday. The Jeti Spin 200 ESC performed flawlessly. Motor and batteries were pretty warm after flying, but the big Jeti Spin 200 didn't break a...

RE: Stay tuned, Extreme Aircraft Extra 300 on the way

I needed to get my hatch off easily to access the batteries, so I moved the hatch dowels to the front of the forward hatch section, and screwed the two hatch pieces together. Then I added a home made...

RE: Stay tuned, Extreme Aircraft Extra 300 on the way

I think Covey is using dual motors with dual Jeti's 90's and 10s on each. I'm running a single motor on 12s at well over 100 amps, so the Jeti's that are currently available are not an option. But...

RE: Stay tuned, Extreme Aircraft Extra 300 on the way

After a long sorry summer, I finally tried to maiden this plane today. The Castle 110HV ESC fried again. Never got off the ground (fortunately). Pretty strange because I ran the motor several times...

RE: Stay tuned, Extreme Aircraft Extra 300 on the way

Negatory budgetdude. I just got the new receiver and got it installed late last week, and conditions since then have been far from prime for a maiden of this magnitude ;)

That said, folks should...

RE: Stay tuned, Extreme Aircraft Extra 300 on the way

The fiberglass and carbon servo arms connect to a metal servo wheel, which connect to the servo. Below is a pic of my final setup, with metal servo wheel.

Precision Aerobatics doesn't give the...

RE: Stay tuned, Extreme Aircraft Extra 300 on the way

Crossed or straight, I could not achieve less than a couple inches of slack in the "slack" cable using a 4 inch, 1/4 inch offset Air Wild arm. The carbon arm from Precision Aerobatics, should work...

RE: Stay tuned, Extreme Aircraft Extra 300 on the way

Ice Man;

Opinions vary on pull-pull. I use PVC coated kevlar on several planes, but I didn't on this one because my cables are crossed and I didn't want Kevlar rubbing on itself. Probably not an...

Do you have a volt meter that you can use to check for voltage from the battery, and then from the switch?

RE: Stay tuned, Extreme Aircraft Extra 300 on the way

It didn't break my heart to skip the cowl hacking ordeal. ;)

I don't see why you couldn't epoxy some blocks up there. I've seen it done. Epoxy itself should be plenty strong enough, if you get a...
