Actually I don't believe that is 100% true. I'm only monkeying what I read somewhere but:
I believe the springs/shocks are different. Stiffer and less travel.
Also the a-arms are different....

Yes, easy to use, cheap (can be had for $13 at hobbycity). Why wouldn't you at least want to buy yourself some time to deal with the situation? Basically smothers the flame.

wow! just got my DT back together. With the stock motor and 2s lipo, it rips! I don't think the slash goes as fast with a Lipo. I'll have to compare them side-by side tommorow.

sam,
my previous post contains my temps. But my stock ESC doesnt really get hot. The battery venom 7.2V 3300mah-gets 150f, and the stock motor 150-170F. i get about 10-15 min of run time bashing....
