RE: props for Jett .35

Yes, I did order the pipe along with the engine. I asked it to be tuned for 9x6. I agree that more thrust is needed for hand launch.

The aircraft will require some modification to fit the...

RE: props for Jett .35

Bob,

thanks for the advices.

The aircraft is a Sig Kobra (.25 size). It was build without landing gear to reduce drag. It is quite fast for such a small aircraft. I had some downwind...

props for Jett .35

Hi Bob,

which prop sizes are recommended for a Jett .35. The Jett website provides data for APC 9x6, but I wonder if a 8x7 or 8x8 would work well too. My engine has the red tuned muffler.

RE: O.S. .30 Wankel (What's your opinion?)

Four OS Wankel should work fine here. However, be sure you have enough place to put at least a 10oz tank for each engine. They definitly burn more fuel thant an 2-stroke for the same power output. 10...

RE: BSE 60L-H or BSE 76L

Hi Bob,

does the BSE engines carry some advantage over the cast case? According to my experience, casting produces more structural defects than machining, but I'm not sure this is an issue with...

RE: BSE 60L-H or BSE 76L

Thank you so much Bob,

sounds like I'll go for the 60L-H. I understand there is no BSE version for this engine, right? It's not that I don't like Jett's cast cases.. but I definetly prefer your...

Hi,

I burned about 10 gal of fuel with my BSE 76L and its head is now covered with baked castor oil. I never had this problem before as I use to run with synthetic oil. I fear this gummy layer...

RE: Sig Kougar

I tried To have my Kougar flying fast too. Even with a tuned pipe on your .46 the speed will remain well under 100 mph. I tried different props with the Mac's tuned pipe (APC 9x8, 9x7, 10x7 10x6) and...

50Lx vs 60Lx

I would like to know how much power a 60LX will provide if compared to a 50Lx. I bought a Sundowner 50 (Hangar 9's) and I was considering using my old BSE 50Lx in it. But I am really tempted by the...
