I agree, everyone needs a trainer type. Along with the trainer a buddy box transmiter needs to be handy at all times. I've included some pics of my trainer type the Green Machine is over 10 years...

Which Kaos is this?

I recently acquired this old bird. I'm pretty sure it's a Kaos, but not sure which one. Does anybody recognize it?

Had to repair lower planking between wing and tail and reattach the servo...

I'm not much help with picking out your motor, but I suggest you stick with a three channel set up. A friend of mine was very disappointed as to how poorly ailerons worked. He taped them up...
